Thusara Kodikara
Thusara Prabath Kodikara (born 17 November 1969) is a former Sri Lankan international cricketer who represented the Malaysian national team between 2004 and 2009. He was born in Sri Lanka, and played first-class cricket there in the 1990s before emigrating to Malaysia. Kodikara played as an all-rounder, batting right-handed and bowling right-arm medium pace. Playing career Sri Lanka Born in Kandy in 1969, Kodikara made his first-class debut for Central Province against Western Province Suburbs in March 1991. He played for a Central and North Western Combined XI against Pakistan A that August, and made his debut for Antonians Sports Club in a Saravanamuttu Trophy match against Kalutara Physical Culture Centre in October. Kandy
Kandy ( si, මහනුවර ''Mahanuwara'', ; ta, கண்டி Kandy, ) is a major city in Sri Lanka located in the Central Province. It was the last capital of the ancient kings' era of Sri Lanka. Rio Sports Club is a former first-class cricket team in Sri Lanka. Rio competed in the Sri Lankan first-class competition in 1992-93 and 2001-02. They played 14 matches and lost all of them. 2009 ACC Twenty20 Cup
The 2009 ACC Twenty20 Cup was played between 22 and 30 November 2009 in the United Arab Emirates. The twelve competing teams were: Afghanistan, Bahrain, China, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Malaysia, Nepal, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and the UAE. Afghanistan defeated the United Arab Emirates in the final to win the tournament for the second time, following their joint victory with Oman in 2007. The Nepal national cricket team ( ne, नेपाल राष्ट्रिय क्रिकेट टीम) nicknamed The Rhinos and Gorkhalis, represents the country of Nepal in International cricket and is governed by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN). ACC Fast Track Countries Tournament
The ACC Fast Track Countries Tournament was a three-day cricket tournament run by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), contested between its top-ranking ICC associate members. It was played three times between 2004 and 2006, and then replaced by the ACC Twenty20 Cup. Some matches in the second edition of the tournament held first-class status, as they were simultaneously ICC Intercontinental Cup matches. 2004/05 tournament Hong Kong, the UAE and Nepal all qualified for the 2005 ICC Intercontinental Cup as a result of their top three finish in the tournament. A separate final was originally set to be held, but as Hong Kong and the UAE topped the group with only their group match to take place, it was decided to make the final group match the overall tournament final. ACC Trophy
The ACC Trophy was a limited-overs cricket tournament organised by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). Open only to associate and affiliate members of the International Cricket Council (ICC), it was contested biennially between 1996 and 2012, but has been replaced by the three-division ACC Premier League as the primary limited-overs competition for non-Test-playing ACC members. The finalists of the 2000 and 2006 tournaments qualified for the Asia Cup, where matches had One Day International (ODI) status. The inaugural edition of the tournament was played in Malaysia in 1996, and featured 12 teams in a single division. Dublin University Cricket Club is a cricket team in Ireland. There is evidence of cricket being played at the University before 1820 but the first record of a club dates from 1835. They currently play in the Leinster Senior League, and in the past had first-class status, and played against several sides that were touring England, including the Australians (twice), South Africans (three times) and West Indians (as late as 1923). History Their first first-class matches came in 1895 when they played home and away matches against Cambridge University, also playing at home against the MCC and away against Leicestershire. They would not play first-class cricket again until 1922 when they played Essex and four times against Northamptonshire between 1924 and 1926.
