2007 ACC Twenty20 Cup
The 2007 ACC Twenty20 Cup was played from 27 October until 2 November 2007 in Kuwait. The ten competing teams were: Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Malaysia, Nepal, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and the UAE. Asian Cricket Council
The Asian Cricket Council also known as ACC is a cricket organisation which was established in 1983, to promote and develop the sport of cricket in Asia. Subordinate to the International Cricket Council, the council is the continent's regional administrative body, and currently consists of 26 member associations. Arul Suppiah
Arul Vivasvan Suppiah (born 30 August 1983) is a former world record breaking Malaysian cricketer. As a right-handed batsman and left-arm orthodox spin bowler, he played for the Malaysia national cricket team and county cricket in England for Somerset County Cricket Club. His career highs involve holding a world record for best Twenty20 bowling figures and first-class innings of 156 against India, in a match before the Test series against England. ACC Trophy
The ACC Trophy was a limited-overs cricket tournament organised by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). Open only to associate and affiliate members of the International Cricket Council (ICC), it was contested biennially between 1996 and 2012, but has been replaced by the three-division ACC Premier League as the primary limited-overs competition for non-Test-playing ACC members. The finalists of the 2000 and 2006 tournaments qualified for the Asia Cup, where matches had One Day International (ODI) status. The inaugural edition of the tournament was played in Malaysia in 1996, and featured 12 teams in a single division. ACC Twenty20 Cup
The ACC Twenty20 Cup was a 20-over cricket tournament organised by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). The tournament did not include the ACC members who were full members of the International Cricket Council (ICC) during the years in which it was held (Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka), instead featuring the best associate and affiliate members. Matches at the tournament were not accorded official Twenty20 or Twenty20 International status. The inaugural ACC Twenty20 Cup in 2007 was jointly won by Afghanistan and Oman. From 2011, the tournament has been part of the qualification process for the ICC World Twenty20. Bowl-out
A bowl-out (sometimes termed a bowl-off) was used as a tiebreaker in various forms of limited overs cricket to decide a match that would otherwise end in a tie. Five bowlers from each side deliver one or two balls each at an unguarded wicket (three stumps). If each team has hit the same number of wickets after the first five bowlers per side, the bowling continues and is decided by sudden death. The bowl-out is no longer used as a tie breaker in ICC matches or domestic professional leagues, as batting has no effect on the result of the otherwise tied game. Saqib Ali (cricketer)
Saqib Ali (born 14 April 1978) is a former Pakistani-born cricketer who played for the United Arab Emirates national cricket team from 2006 to 2015, including in five One Day International (ODI) matches. In cricket, a batter is not out if they come out to bat in an innings and have not been dismissed by the end of an innings. The batter is also ''not out'' while their innings is still in progress. Occurrence At least one batter is not out at the end of every innings, because once ten batters are out, the eleventh has no partner to bat on with so the innings ends. Usually two batters finish not out if the batting side declares in first-class cricket, and often at the end of the scheduled number of overs in limited overs cricket. Samiullah Shinwari ( ps, سميع الله شينواري; born 31 December 1987) is an Afghan cricketer who represents Afghanistan in international level. Amjad Javed ( ur, ; born 5 July 1980) is a former cricketer who played for the United Arab Emirates national cricket team. He is an allrounder who bats with right-hand and bowls right-arm medium.
