"Three Dreams Denied" is the seventh episode of the thirty-second season of the American animated television series '' The Simpsons'', and the 691st episode overall. It aired in the United States on Fox on November 22, 2020. The episode was directed by Steven Dean Moore and written by Danielle Weisberg. Ben Platt guest-stars in the episode as Blake, while Paul Rudd appears as himself. In the episode, Comic Book Guy goes to Comicalooza, finding himself dumbstruck as he loses his chance at Marvel, Bart becomes a voice-over actor, and Lisa gets a new rival at school. Steven Dean Moore
Steven Dean Moore is an American animation director. His credits include 65 episodes of the animated television series ''The Simpsons'' and several episodes of the Nickelodeon series ''Rugrats'' (1991–2004). Moore was also one of four sequence directors on ''The Simpsons Movie'' (2007). He was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2002. Moore's earliest credit is one of the principal animators on Filmation's last major production, ''BraveStarr''.
