Thomas Buchmayer
Thomas Buchmayer (born 14 February 1971) is a former professional tennis player from Austria. Biography Buchmayer, a left-handed player from Sankt Pölten, was coached by Jan Kukal. Turning professional in 1989, he made the round of 16 as a wildcard at Kitzbühel that year, withs wins over Tomás Carbonell and world number 12 Alberto Mancini. In 1991 he made his debut for the Austria Davis Cup team and featured in two World Group ties. He played a reverse singles match in the first, against Czechoslovakia in Prague, which he won over Karel Nováček, but the Austrians had already lost the tie. His other tie was a qualifier in Manchester against Great Britain. He lost the opening singles match to Jeremy Bates in four sets, then later played in the last of the reserve singles, by which time the British team had taken Austria's place in the World Group. Tennis
Tennis is a racket sport that is played either individually against a single opponent ( singles) or between two teams of two players each ( doubles). Each player uses a tennis racket that is strung with cord to strike a hollow rubber ball covered with felt over or around a net and into the opponent's court. The object of the game is to manoeuvre the ball in such a way that the opponent is not able to play a valid return. Kelly Evernden
Kelly Graeme Evernden (born 21 September 1961) is a former professional tennis player from New Zealand. Evernden turned professional in 1985 and won his first tour doubles title in 1986 at Cologne. His first top-level singles title came in 1987 at Bristol. Wolfgang Schranz
Wolfgang Schranz (born 18 or 19 March 1976) is a former professional tennis player from Austria. Schranz won the 1992 Austrian National Championships, for the 16 and under age group. He competed in main draw of the French Open twice, in 1997 and 1998. In the first tournament he lost in the opening round to Gastón Etlis and he again failed to make the second round in 1998, when he was beaten by Felix Mantilla. His best results on tour came at events in his home country. In 1994 he made the quarter-finals of the St. Pölten tournament. Schranz had a win over world number 40 Franco Squillari in the 1999 Austrian Open, where he made the round of 16. Eyal Erlich ( he, אייל ארליך; born 1 January 1977) is a former professional tennis player from Israel. Career Erlich made his Grand Slam debut at the 1995 Wimbledon Championships, entering the main draw as a lucky loser. He was defeated in the first round by German Arne Thoms, in straight sets. Three years later he qualified for his second Grand Slam, the 1998 US Open, but exited again in the opening round, losing to 20th seed Michael Chang. Noam Behr ( he, נועם בר; born 13 October 1975) is an Israeli professional tennis player who turned pro in 1994. His career-high singles ranking was No. 127 (October 2001), and his career-high doubles ranking was No. 109 (October 1999). Israel Davis Cup Team
The Israel men's national tennis team (Hebrew: נבחרת גביע דייוויס של ישראל) represents Israel in Davis Cup tennis competition and is governed by the Israel Tennis Association. As of June 2020, Jonathan Erlich became Captain of the team. The team plays primarily in Canada Stadium, which is the main venue of the Tennis Center in Ramat Hasharon, Tel Aviv District, Israel. The stadium is known for its high intensity, tough crowd, and good home environment. The surface is considered hard by world standards, a feature that plays to the advantage of Israeli competitors already used to it.
