Thea Belmer
Thea Belmer (born 1941, Amsterdam) is a former artistic gymnast. Belmer had her most successful year in 1963, when in April she won a gold medal on uneven bars and a silver medal on vault at the 1963 European Championships and in December won the national championships. At the world championships in Dortmund in 1966, she was a member of the Dutch team, that came in 14th of 22 teams. Belmer married Piet Uijtendaal on 9 December 1966 in Amsterdam, after which she retired from competitive gymnastics and moved to live in Wormer Wormer is a town in the Dutch province of North Holland. Wormer
Wormer is a town in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Wormerland, and lies about 13 km northwest of Amsterdam. The town is situated in the Zaan district, on the eastern side of the river Zaan, across from Wormerveer. The town is surrounded by the nature area Wormer- en Jisperveld. European Women's Artistic Gymnastics Championships
The European Women's Gymnastics Championships are an artistic championships for female gymnasts from European countries organised by the European Union of Gymnastics. They are held annually, though rotate between two different formats. History Originally held biannually in odd-numbered years, the championships moved to even-numbered years in 1990. In 2005 a second set of championships was introduced, titled the "individual championships". Artistic gymnastics is a discipline of gymnastics in which athletes perform short routines on different apparatuses.
