The Yellow World
''The Yellow World'' ( Spanish: ''El Mundo Amarillo'') is a semi-autobiographical work by Albert Espinosa. The book details the author's experience with cancer and describes his hospital experience. Written as a series of twenty-three discoveries made by the author during his ten-year fight against cancer, Espinosa describes the people he met during his stay in the hospital, recalling those who inspired him. In the last chapters of the book, Espinosa describes such people as "Yellows" – people who make a significant impact on one's life and help transform it for the better. Contents The book begins with the author asking the question, "Where were you born?" The author answers his question by stating that he was "born from cancer." Espinosa states that he likes the word cancer, and even likes the word tumor because he grew up listening to those words. Semi-biographical Novel
The biographical novel is a genre of novel which provides a fictional account of a contemporary or historical person's life. Like other forms of biographical fiction, details are often trimmed or reimagined to meet the artistic needs of the fictional genre, the novel. These reimagined biographies are sometimes called semi-biographical novels, to distinguish the relative historicity of the work from other biographical novels The genre rose to prominence in the 1930s with best-selling works by authors such as Robert Graves, Thomas Mann, Irving Stone and Lion Feuchtwanger. ''Braccialetti rossi'' (; literally "''Red bracelets''") is an Italian television series broadcast on Rai 1 from 26 January 2014 to 2 December 2016. It is an adaptation of the 2011-2013 Catalan TV series ''Polseres vermelles'', and was the first such adaptation; ''Polseres vermelles'' was later adapted in ten more countries.
