Mid-Suffolk
Mid Suffolk is a local government district in Suffolk, England. Its council was based in Needham Market until late 2017, and is currently sharing offices with the Suffolk County Council in Ipswich. The largest town of Mid Suffolk is Stowmarket. The population of the district taken at the 2011 Census was 96,731. The district was formed on 1 April 1974 by the merger of the Borough of Eye, Stowmarket Urban District, Gipping Rural District, Hartismere Rural District and Thedwastre Rural District Thedwastre was a rural district in West Suffolk, England from 1894 to 1974. Suffolk

2011 Mid Suffolk District Council Election
In the 2011 United Kingdom local elections, the Conservative Party held onto the Mid Suffolk District Council for a third term and even increased their majority. The 2015 Mid Suffolk District Council election took place on the 7 May 2015 to elect members of Mid Suffolk District Council in England. It was held on same day as many UK 2015 United Kingdom local elections, local elections and the 2015 United Kingdom general election, general election.
