''The Ride Majestic'' is the tenth studio album by Swedish melodic death metal band Soilwork. It was released on 28 August 2015 and is the last album to feature longtime drummer Dirk Verbeuren, who left the band in July 2016 to join Megadeth. Background On 5 December 2014, Soilwork frontman Björn Strid confirmed that work had begun on a new album when he posted a picture on Facebook of him listening to new demos. Strid also stated that Soilwork are sounding "better than ever". It was also confirmed that Soilwork has teamed up with Chuck Billy's Breaking Bands LLC management company for the album. In June 2015, Soilwork announced that longtime bassist Ola Flink and the band had parted ways and that he would be replaced by Markus Wibom. Soilwork is a Swedish melodic death metal band from Helsingborg. They are signed to Nuclear Blast. Formed in late 1995 by Björn Strid and Peter Wichers, originally under the name ''Inferior Breed'', the band changed their name in late 1996 to Soilwork (meaning "working from the ground up"). Sonic Syndicate
Sonic Syndicate is a Swedish metalcore band from Falkenberg. They were formerly influenced by Swedish melodic death metal bands such as In Flames and Soilwork and American metalcore bands like Killswitch Engage and All That Remains. The band was founded in 2002 by brothers and songwriters Richard and Roger Sjunnesson (screamed vocals and guitars respectively) with their younger cousin Robin Sjunnesson (guitars) under the name Fallen Angels. Charles Billy (born June 23, 1962) is an American singer who is best known as the lead vocalist for thrash metal band Testament. Career Testament Billy joined Legacy in 1986, replacing vocalist Steve "Zetro" Souza who would later join Exodus. Björn Strid
Björn Ove Ingemar "Speed" Strid (born 10 September 1978) is a Swedish vocalist who has worked with bands such as Allegaeon, Disarmonia Mundi, Terror 2000, Coldseed, The Night Flight Orchestra, Act of Denial, Gizmachi, and most notably Soilwork. Early life Strid was born in Helsingborg. He gained the nickname "Speed" from fellow students as a result of the "extreme music" he was known to enjoy.
