''The Other Side of Deception'' is a follow-up to the best-selling nonfiction book ''By Way of Deception'' by Victor Ostrovsky, a former Mossad agent with operational knowledge. It contains a bibliography of newspaper articles in support of original book. Summary The book concerns the concept of a Mossad divide and conquer strategy, pitting secular Arabs against Islamist Arabs and between Arab Muslims and Non-Arab Muslims such as between Iran and Iraq. The Mossad assists Hamas in destroying the PLO and creates a civil war between the secular and Islamist factions of the Palestinians. The book was written in 1994, but his predictions came true with the election of Hamas in the Gaza strip and the civil war that broke through between Hamas and the PLO. The relations between Hamas and the Mossad soured after the Second Intifada, which occurred after the writing of this book. Victor Ostrovsky
Victor John Ostrovsky (born 28 November 1949) is an author and a former katsa (case officer) for the Israeli Mossad. He authored two nonfiction books about his service with the Mossad: ''By Way of Deception'', a #1 ''New York Times'' bestseller in 1990, and '' The Other Side of Deception'' several years later. Family Ostrovsky's mother, a gymnastics teacher by trade, was born in Mandatory Palestine to Haim and Esther Margolin, (his grandparents) who fled Russia in 1912 and settled in Palestine where Haim served as Auditor General of the Jewish National Fund (JNF), and Esther volunteered to the British Army (ATS), as truck driver during World War II, and later joined the Haganah to fight for Israel's independence from the British mandate rule. Yekutiel Adam
Yekutiel "Kuti" Adam ( he, יקותיאל "קותי" אדם; November 3, 1927 – June 10, 1982) was an Israeli general and former Deputy Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces. Biography He was born in Tel Aviv to Yehuda and Elisheva Adam (formerly Adamov). He was named after his grandfather, Yekutiel Ravayev, who was killed in combat defending Petah Tikva from Arabs in 1916. His family were Mountain Jews from the Caucasus region. Uwe Barschel (13 May 1944 – 11 October 1987) was a German politician of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) who served as Minister-President in the state of Schleswig-Holstein. Having assumed office of Minister-President at the age of 38, Barschel is as of to date the youngest head of government of a federal state in Germany, just as the youngest former Minister-President to die.
