The Naked Truth (TV)
''The Naked Truth'' (russian: Голая правда, Golaya pravda) was a television program hosted by Svetlana Pesotskaya on Moscow's television channel. The format was a ten-minute news bulletin, followed by a weather report. After Communism, Russian television channels struggled to gain viewers because of low budgets and lack of programming. To attract viewers, the M1 channel began experimenting in November 1999 with having Pesotskaya strip while delivering the news. The concept was developed by M1 producer Sergei Moskvin, who stated that the show began life as a "one-off joke - a light-hearted send-up of Russian current affairs." Pesotskaya took off her clothes on camera daily with a pair of hands, strategically placed as the only thing covering her breasts. Svetlana Pesotskaya (born 9 January 1975) is a television reporter in Moscow who gained international attention for her practice of stripping during newscasts. Before becoming a television journalist, Pesotskaya was an actress and model. After Communism, Russian television channels struggled to gain viewers because of low budgets and lack of programming. To attract viewers, the M1 Network began experimenting in November 1999 with having Pesotskaya strip while delivering the news. The ratings soared and the show, renamed '' Golaya Pravda'' (''The Naked Truth''), became the most widely viewed news program in Russia. Pesotskaya took off her clothes on camera daily with a pair of hands, strategically placed as the only thing to preserve her decency. ''Naked News'' is a Canadian news and entertainment program owned by Naked Broadcasting Network. It features nude female news presenters reading news bulletins derived from news wires. The show's production studio is located in Toronto. There are six daily news programs a week and they are approximately 22 minutes long. In the field of psychology, cognitive dissonance is the perception of contradictory information, and the mental toll of it. Relevant items of information include a person's actions, feelings, ideas, beliefs, values, and things in the environment. Cognitive dissonance is typically experienced as psychological stress when persons participate in an action that goes against one or more of those things.
