The Music Jungle
''The Music Jungle'' was an Australian music television show that was broadcast on the Nine Network on Saturday mornings between 11am and 12pm. The 2007 season began on 31 March and ended on 8 December. The 2008 season began on 22 March. The Music Jungle last aired in March 2009. Program format The Music Jungle generally played Top 40 Australian and overseas music clips. The show was produced by Headlock Media, the Television and Content Creation Division of Sony Music Australia. Presenters The initial host was Asha Kuerten in 2007. In 2008, Angela Johnson of The Mint replaced Asha Kuerten as host. On 14 June 2008, former host of Eclipse Music TV and Famous Uncensored Lizzy Lovette replaced Angela Johnson. 576i is a standard-definition television, standard-definition digital video mode, originally used for digitizing analog television in most countries of the world where the utility frequency for electric power distribution is 50 Hz. SDTV
Standard-definition television (SDTV, SD, often shortened to standard definition) is a television system which uses a resolution that is not considered to be either high or enhanced definition. "Standard" refers to it being the prevailing specification for broadcast (and later, cable) television in the mid- to late-20th century, and compatible with legacy analog broadcast systems. The two common SDTV signal types are 576i, with 576 interlaced lines of resolution, derived from the European-developed PAL and SECAM systems, and 480i based on the American NTSC system. 1080i
1080i (also known as Full HD or BT.709) is a combination of frame resolution and scan type. 1080i is used in high-definition television (HDTV) and high-definition video. The number "1080" refers to the number of horizontal lines on the screen. The "i" is an abbreviation for "interlaced"; this indicates that only the even lines, then the odd lines of each frame (each image called a video field) are drawn alternately, so that only half the number of actual image frames are used to produce video. A related display resolution is 1080p, which also has 1080 lines of resolution; the "p" refers to progressive scan, which indicates that the lines of resolution for each frame are "drawn" on the screen in sequence. Elizabeth Lovette is an Australian radio presenter and TV presenter. Career Radio Lovette commenced her career in 2004 at 2Day FM Sydney as a presenter and 'Black Thunder' pilot. She moved to Nova 969 Sydney from 2004 to 2006, where in her first year she co-hosted the ''Nova 9's'' at night with David Campbell. In 2006, Lovette moved to host the Morning shift. She returned to 2Day FM from January 2007, co-hosting the ''Hot30 Countdown'' with Sam Mac. Lovette has also appeared on various shows such as ''The Kyle and Jackie O Show'' and ''Superfresh'', and filled in on 2Day FM and Triple M Sydney. The Nine Network (stylised 9Network, commonly known as Channel Nine or simply Nine) is an Australian commercial free-to-air television network. The Mint (Australia)
''The Mint'' is an Australian phone-in quiz show based on the British program of the same name, and broadcast on the Nine Network in selected areas in the late night time slot (post-midnight). The show was filmed live at Nine's GTV Richmond studios in Melbourne. It replaced ''Quizmania'' and was produced entirely by the Nine Network, unlike ''Quizmania'' which was produced by FremantleMedia Australia. Like ''Quizmania'', the program received its revenue from phone charges rather than advertisements. Only contestants aged 18 or over were allowed to participate. ''Eclipse Music TV'' was an Australian music television show which was broadcast every Sunday from 12:30pm on 9Go!, GO!. The show was referred to as ''AllPhones Eclipse Music TV'', after its major sponsor All Phones. The first series went to air on the Seven Network in 2005, ''Eclipse Music TV'' quickly became Australia's number one Saturday music chart show til 2007.
