The More You Know
''The More You Know'' is a series of public service announcements (PSAs) broadcast on the NBC family of channels in the United States and other locations, featuring educational messages. These PSAs are broadcast occasionally during NBC's network programming. The spots feature personalities from various NBC shows, as well as other notable figures such as U.S. Presidents. Tom Brokaw was the first person to do ''The More You Know'' spot; it aired on NBC in September 1989, succeeding the ''One to Grow On'' PSAs that were used from 1983 to 1989. ''El Poder de Saber'' (''The Power of Knowledge'') is ''The More You Knows sister campaign on Telemundo. NBC Kids was an American Saturday morning children's television programming block that aired on NBC from July 7, 2012 to September 25, 2016. Telemundo also aired a version of the block under the "MiTelemundo" title, which featured a separate lineup of Spanish-dubbed programs until December 31, 2017. NBC Kids, which replaced the Qubo block (as a result of NBCUniversal dropping out of the joint venture, which also included Ion Media Networks), was programmed by the other Sprout preschool cable network, as they were both targeted at children ages 2 to 6. The More You Know (TMYK) is an American programming block that is programmed by Hearst Media Production Group (formerly Litton Entertainment), and debuted on October 8, 2016 on NBC as a replacement for the animation block NBC Kids. It airs on Saturday mornings on NBC and Telemundo, and as of 2017 is replayed Sunday mornings on sister network Cozi TV. The block's programs are also available through all of NBC's video on demand venues, including the network's site/app, Hulu, and cable/satellite services. Jonathan Brandis
Jonathan Gregory Brandis (April 13, 1976 – November 12, 2003) was an American actor. Beginning his career as a child model, Brandis moved on to acting in commercials and subsequently won television and film roles. Brandis made his acting debut in 1982 as Kevin Buchanan on the soap opera ''One Life to Live''. In 1990, he portrayed Bill Denbrough in the television miniseries '' It''.
