The Little Nyonya
''The Little Nyonya'' ( zh, c= ) is a 2008 drama serial on Singapore's free-to-air MediaCorp TV Channel 8. It stars Jeanette Aw, Qi Yuwu, Dai Xiangyu, Lin Meijiao, Pan Lingling, Cynthia Koh, Pierre Png, Joanne Peh, Desmond Sim, Eelyn Kok, Andie Chen, Ng Hui and Xiang Yun as the casts of the series. The storyline, which circles around the biographical flashback of an extended Peranakan family in Malacca, is set in the 1930s and spans to over 70 years and several generations of three families. It debuted on 25 November 2008 and concluded its run on 5 January 2009. It was shown on weekdays at 9pm. The series was partly sponsored by the Media Development Authority of Singapore. Produced by MediaCorp in commemoration of the channel's 45th anniversary, ''The Little Nyonya'' is widely regarded as one of the greatest television series on Channel 8. Hokkien

Apple Hong
Apple Hong (; born 31 October 1978) is a Malaysia-Born Singaporean actress and singer. She was a Mediacorp artiste from 1999 to 2011 but continues to film on TV and ad-hoc basis. Career Hong was first runner-up in the Malaysian edition of Star Search 1999 and moved to Singapore after being offered a contract by TCS (now MediaCorp). She was then known as the ‘Malaysian Shu Qi’ due to her slight resemblance to the Hong Kong actress. Darren Lim
Darren Lim (, born 30 September 1972) is a Singaporean actor and television host. He was prominently a full-time Mediacorp artiste from 1997 to 2016 but continues to film on an ad-hoc basis. Career Having left school at age 15, Lim began his career as a singer before joining the Television Corporation of Singapore, Mediacorp's predecessor, in the mid-1990s. He joined SPH MediaWorks in 2000 and was transferred back to Mediacorp when both companies merged in 2005. Since rejoining Mediacorp, his profile rose considerably and was nominated for the Best Supporting Actor several times, most notably for his role in ''The Little Nyonya''. Lin Meijiao () is a Singaporean actress. Life and career Lin was educated at Ahmad Ibrahim Secondary School.
