''The Golden Man'' (Hungarian: ''Az aranyember'') is a 1936 Hungarian historical drama film directed by Béla Gaál and starring Ferenc Kiss, Tivadar Uray and Gyula Csortos.Cunningham p.46 The film is an adaptation of the 1872 novel ''The Man with the Golden Touch'' by Mór Jókai. It was shot at the Hunnia Studios in Budapest and on location around Budafok and the Romanian island of Ada Kaleh on the Danube. The film's sets were designed by the art director Márton Vincze. Kálmán Rózsahegyi
Kálmán Rózsahegyi (6 October 1873, in Pest – 27 August 1961) was a Jewish Hungarian actor and teacher. He descended from a family of theatre actors; his father, Ödön Rózsahegyi performed in the countryside. Kálmán Rózsahegyi also began his career performing in the countryside, but in 1898 he was hired by the Hungarian National Theatre. Between 1900 and 1935 he was a member of the National Theatre, from 1923 as a permanent member. With his wife, Angéla Hevesi, he founded his own private drama school, which was the place of learning for many famous actors. Ada Kaleh
Ada Kaleh (; from tr, Adakale, meaning "Island Fortress"; hu, Újorsova or ; Serbian and Bulgarian: Адакале, ''Adakale'') was a small island on the Danube in what is modern Romania, that was submerged during the construction of the Iron Gates hydroelectric plant in 1970. The island was about downstream from Orșova and was less than two kilometers long and approximately half a kilometer wide (1.75 x 0.4–0.5 km), inhabited by Turkish Muslims from all parts of the Ottoman Empire, there were also family ties to the Turkish Muslim population of Vidin and Ruse, Bulgaria, due to exogamy marriages.
