The Browning
The Browning is an American electronicore band formed in Kansas City, Missouri in 2005. The band's musical style is characterized by an eclectic blending of electronicore and deathcore. The group currently consists of vocalist Jonny McBee, drummer Cody Stewart, and bassist/guitarist Akeem Bivens. They are currently signed to Spinefarm Records. The band has released six studio albums and two EPs. History Formed in early 2005, The Browning was originally a solo project of Jonny Mcbee. Later, the rapper Matt Keck joined the project. Later on in 2010, Matt Keck left The Browning to be a comedian, and appeared on '' Tosh.0'' in a viewer video titled "I'm a Snake". The two EPs saw a change in style as drummer Noah Robertson, guitarist Brian Cravey, and bassist Jesse Glidewell joined. ''Isolation'' is the third studio album by American electronicore band the Browning. It was released on June 24, 2016, through Spinefarm Records. The album was produced by Jonny McBee and Cody Stewart. Critical reception ''Isolation'' received generally negative to mixed reviews from critics. '' Louder Sound'' gave the album mixed review and stated: "The ability to straddle the jarring genres of metal and electronica alone – and with conviction – is no easy feat, so when a band starts chucking in everything but the kitchen sink, cohesion can quickly give way to confusion." FiXT (pronounced "fixed") is an American independent media company with several divisions including a record label, an online music store, and a film/TV/video game music licensing arm. FiXT was founded and is owned by Klayton, the sole member of the electronic rock project Celldweller. History FiXT started in 2006 as an outgrowth of Esion Media, the name under which Klayton published his earliest Celldweller material. The Roland TR-808 Rhythm Composer, commonly known as the 808, is a drum machine manufactured by the Roland Corporation between 1980 and 1983. It was one of the first drum machines to allow users to program rhythms instead of using preset patterns. Unlike its nearest competitor at the time, the more expensive Linn LM-1, the 808 generates sounds using analog synthesis rather than by playing samples (prerecorded sounds). Launched when electronic music had yet to become mainstream, the 808 received mixed reviews for its unrealistic drum sounds and was a commercial failure. Hardstyle is an electronic dance genre that emerged in the late 1990s, with origins in the Netherlands, Belgium and Italy. Hardstyle mixes influences from techno, new beat and hardcore. Early hardstyle was typically written at 140 BPM (''beats per minute''), however modern hardstyle is faster, produced around 150 BPM. It consisted of overdriven and hard-sounding kick drums, often accompanied by an offbeat bass, known as a "reverse bass". As the genre grew, the production techniques and songwriting changed to be suited to a more commercial audience.
