''Isolation'' is the third studio album by American electronicore band the Browning. It was released on June 24, 2016, through Spinefarm Records. The album was produced by Jonny McBee and Cody Stewart. Critical reception ''Isolation'' received generally negative to mixed reviews from critics. '' Louder Sound'' gave the album mixed review and stated: "The ability to straddle the jarring genres of metal and electronica alone – and with conviction – is no easy feat, so when a band starts chucking in everything but the kitchen sink, cohesion can quickly give way to confusion." ''New Noise'' gave the album 1.5 out of 5 and stated: "On their own, the 12 tracks that comprise ''Isolation'' aren't bad, per se, they just shouldn't be grouped together. The Browning
The Browning is an American metalcore band formed in Kansas City, Missouri in 2005. The band's musical style is characterized by an eclectic blending of electronicore and deathcore. The group currently consists of vocalist Jonny McBee, drummer Cody Stewart, bassist Akeem Bivens, and guitarist Jon Yadon Jr. They are currently signed to Spinefarm Records. The band has released five studio albums and two EPs. History Formed in early 2005, The Browning was originally a solo project of Jonny Mcbee. Later, the rapper Matt Keck joined the project. Later on in 2010, Matt Keck left The Browning to be a comedian, and appeared on ''Tosh.0'' in a viewer video titled "I'm a Snake". The two EPs saw a change in style as drummer Noah Robertson, guitarist Brian Cravey, and bassist Jesse Glidewell joined. Metalcore
Metalcore (also known as metallic hardcore) is a fusion music genre that combines elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk. As with other styles blending metal and hardcore, such as crust punk and grindcore, metalcore is noted for its use of breakdowns, slow, intense passages conducive to moshing. Deathcore
Deathcore is an extreme metal subgenre that combines death metal with metalcore. The genre consists of death metal guitar riffs, blast beats, and metalcore breakdowns. While there are some precursors to the concept of death metal fused with metalcore/hardcore elements seen in the 1990s, deathcore itself emerged in the early 2000s and gained prominence beginning in the mid-2000s within the southwestern United States, especially Arizona and inland southern California (mostly the Coachella Valley), which are home to many notable bands and various festivals. Spinefarm Records is a Finnish independent record label focusing mainly on heavy metal artists. It is a subsidiary of Universal Music Group. History Spinefarm Records was originally founded in 1990 by Riku Pääkkönen as a mail-order distribution company for rock and heavy metal albums and singles, but later became a record label for Finnish acts such as Nightwish, Children of Bodom, and Sonata Arctica. ''Geist'' is the fourth studio album by American electronicore band the Browning. It was released on October 26, 2018, through Spinefarm Records and was produced by Jonny McBee. Background and promotion On August 17, 2018, the Browning released the first single "Carnage" featuring Jake Hill. At the same time, they announced the album itself, the album cover, the track list, and release date. On September 21, the band unveiled the second single "Final Breath" and its corresponding music video. On October 19, one week before the album release, the band published the third and final single "Geist" featuring Paul Bartzsch of We Butter the Bread with Butter. Emmure () is an American metalcore band formed in 2003.
