Tharri ( sd, ٿري) is a town in the Larkana District in Sindh, Pakistan. The city is well connected with the other large cities like Karachi, the provincial capital and Larkana. Larkana District (Sindhi language, Sindhi: ضلعو لاڙڪاڻو; ur, ) is a district of Sindh province of Pakistan. Its main city is Larkana on the banks of the Indus River. It is home district the of influential Bhutto family. The Larkana Bulls cricket team established in 2013. Other towns of the district include Ratodero, Dokri, Bakrani and Naodero. In 2005, the Government of Pakistan under Pervez Musharraf bifurcated the district, forming a new district called Qamber Shahdadkot District, Qamber and Shahdadkot, with two towns of Qambar Khan and Shahdadkot. Larkana ( ur, , translit=lāṛkāna; sd, لاڙڪاڻو, translit=lāṛkāṇo) is a city located in the Sindh province of Pakistan. It is the 15th largest city of Pakistan by population. It is home to the Indus Valley civilization site Mohenjo-daro. The historic Indus River flows in east and south of the city. The city is located within Larkana District. Formerly known as " Chandka", Larkana is located on the south bank of the Ghar canal, about south of the town Shikarpur, and northeast of Mehar. Soomra Dynasty
The Soomra (or Soomro) dynasty (, '' lit.'' the family/dynasty of the Soomras) was a late medieval dynasty of Sindh, and at times adjacent regions, located in what is now Pakistan. Sources The only contemporary literary source remains the ''Diwan-i Farruhi'', written by one Abul-Hasan Ali in Persian — it described Mahmud of Ghazni's invasion (1025 AD) of Mansura, erstwhile capital of Sindh. Contemporary coinage from Sindh is scarce and of poor quality with offset flans; though some of them can be read to contain the name of Al-Zahir li-i'zaz Din Allah and Al-Mustansir Billah — the Fatimid Caliphs from 1021 until 1094 —, then, they lack in the name of the issuer and cannot evidence the dynasty.
