''Thank God We Left the Garden'' is the fourth studio album by American musician Jeffrey Martin, released on November 3, 2023, through Fluff and Gravy. The album is Martin's first in six years, following 2017's ''One Go Around''. It was recorded in Portland, Oregon with producer Jon Neufeld and received acclaim from critics. Recording Martin, a former schoolteacher, wrote and recorded the album in a "shack" in his backyard in Portland, Oregon in late 2022. He eventually worked on them with the help of producer Jon Neufeld and session musicians. Critical reception ''Thank God We Left the Garden'' received a score of 88 out of 100 on review aggregator Metacritic based on four critics' reviews, indicating "universal acclaim". Starfield is a Canadian Christian music group from Winnipeg, Manitoba. The group has songs and albums that have charted in Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Nathaniel David Rateliff (born October 7, 1978) is an American singer and songwriter based in Denver, Colorado, whose influences are described as folk, Americana and vintage rhythm & blues. Rateliff has performed with a backing band called the Night Sweats for an R&B side project he formed in 2013. John Robert Moreland (born June 22, 1985) is an American singer-songwriter from Tulsa, Oklahoma. Early life Moreland was born in Longview, Texas, the son of Robert Lloyd Moreland, an engineer, and Connie May Moreland (née Brandon), a school librarian. Moreland's father worked for Sunoco as an electrical engineer, and because of this job the family moved a lot. His was a conservative Southern Baptist family. John Prine
John Edward Prine (; October 10, 1946 – April 7, 2020) was an American singer-songwriter of country-folk music. He was active as a composer, recording artist, live performer, and occasional actor from the early 1970s until his death. He was known for an often humorous style of original music that has elements of protest and social commentary. Born and raised in Maywood, Illinois, Prine learned to play the guitar at age 14. He attended classes at Chicago's Old Town School of Folk Music.
