Teura'itera'i Tupaia (born 6 February 2000) is a French Polynesian athlete specialising in the Javelin throw. Biography Tupaia was born in Papeete in French Polynesia, and began athletics at the age of 11. He participated in the athletics section of A.S. Aorai in French Polynesia until 2019. In 2020 he moved to France where he competed with the Entente de Haute-Alsace. In 2020, he won silver at the 2020 French Athletics Championships in Albi with a throw of 73.07 m (personal record). He won gold in the under-23 category at the 2021 European Throwing Cup in Split with a throw of 80.46m, a mark above 80 meters that had not been reached by a French thrower since 2010 and 30 centimeters from the French record held by Stéphane Laporte. He withdrew from the 2021 European team championships due to an elbow injury. He won gold in the javelin competition at the 2021 French Athletics Championships in Angers. Leiria
Leiria (; cel-x-proto, ɸlāryo) is a city and municipality in the Central Region of Portugal. It is the 2nd largest city in that same region, with a municipality population of 128,640 (as of 2021) in an area of . Albi (; oc, Albi ) is a commune in southern France. It is the prefecture of the Tarn department, on the river Tarn, 85 km northeast of Toulouse. 2020 French Athletics Championships
The 2020 French Athletics Championships was the 132nd edition of the national championship in outdoor track and field for France. It was held on 12–13 September at Stadium Municipal d'Albi in Albi. A total of 36 events (divided evenly between the sexes) were contested over the two-day competition. The combined track and field events were held separately on 19–20 September at the Stade de Lattre-de-Tassigny in Aubagne. On 3 April the French Athletics Federation declared that the competition would be postponed from its original setting in Angers from 19 to 21 June, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
