State Route 125 (SR 125) is a north–south state route in southern West Tennessee. It begins north of Silerton at SR 100 and ends at the Tennessee–Mississippi state line, where it continues as Mississippi Highway 15. Route description Hardeman County SR 125 begins as a primary highway in Hardeman County at the Mississippi state line, where the road continues south as Mississippi Highway 15 (MS 15). It goes north as a 2-lane highway past several industrial businesses before entering Middleton and having an intersection with SR 57. SR 125 then goes north past several more businesses before crossing the railroad tracks and passing through downtown. Chickasaw State Park is a state park located in Chester County, Tennessee, in the Southeastern United States. The park consists of 1,280 acres (5 km²) amidst a 14,384 acres (58 km²) state forest, and includes Lake Placid, Lake Lajoie, and some of West Tennessee's highest areas. History Chickasaw State Park was named for the Chickasaw Indians who once inhabited West Tennessee and Northern Mississippi. Located in west Tennessee along the border of Hardeman and Chester Counties was 1,400 acres of land that was considered to be one of Tennessee's 20 new Deal-era state parks. In 1955, the territory became a state park because park duties returned to state control, and park and forest lands were deeded to the state. State Route 15 (SR 15) is a west–east route from Memphis to Monteagle. For much of its route it has an unsigned concurrency with U.S. Route 64. SR 15 does travel through the southern part of all 3 Grand Divisions of the state: West Tennessee, Middle Tennessee, and East Tennessee. Route description Shelby County SR 15 begins as a secondary highway in Shelby County in Northern Memphis at an interchange with SR 14 (Austin Peay Highway). It proceeds east to Bartlett and intersects US 70/US 79/US 64/ SR 1, where it becomes the unsigned companion route of US 64 and becomes a primary highway. US 64/SR 15 then intersect SR 177 just before they have an interchange with I-40 (Exit 18) in Lakeland. State Route 57 (SR 57) is an east–west highway that runs from Memphis to the Mississippi state line near Pickwick Dam and Pickwick Landing State Park. Except for in Shelby County and western Fayette County, SR 57 is a two lane road generally with a speed limit. The majority of the road follows the path of the Memphis and Charleston Railroad (now part of the Norfolk Southern Railway). SR 57 is signed as a primary highway for most of its length, excluding the section between its western terminus and the split with US 72 in Collierville, which is secondary.
