Tendring Technology College
Tendring Technology College is a secondary school with Sixth Form College located in Essex, England. It is one of the five secondary schools in the Tendring district, along with Clacton Coastal Academy, Clacton County High School, Colne and the Harwich and Dovercourt High School. The college has been rated 'Inadequate' by Ofsted in 2021. The Academy is currently subject of a Termination Warning. History The academy was previously led by Mike Watson, however in 2004, he went into early retirement after twenty years at the school, and was replaced by Caroline Hayes. Caroline Hayes remained Principal of Tendring Technology College for 12 Years before stepping down in 2016. Michael Muldoon became the Principal in 2016. Muldoon resigned as head teacher in May 2021. Facilities The academy saw extensive building work at its Frinton Campus in 2003 when new departmental buildings were erected. Benjamin Thomas Foakes (born 15 February 1993) is an English professional cricketer who plays internationally for the England Test cricket team. In domestic cricket, he represents Surrey, having previously played for Essex. The Academies Enterprise Trust (AET) is a multi-academy trust in England. It is a non-profit, educational charitable trust, which sponsors schools with academy status. Ellie Challis (born 23 March 2004) is a British Paralympic swimmer. She represented Great Britain at the 2020 Summer Paralympics. Northampton Saints (officially Northampton Rugby Football Club) is a professional rugby union club from Northampton, England. They play in Premiership Rugby, England's top division of rugby. Mike Haywood (rugby Union)
Mike Haywood (born 10 November 1991) is an English rugby union player who used to play for Aviva Premiership side Northampton Saints. His position was at hooker. He is currently a coach at St Joseph's College in Ipswich and Colchester Rugby Club Haywood was a product of the Northampton Saints academy and was given a two-year contract with the side in 2011. Frinton-on-Sea
Frinton-on-Sea is a seaside town and (as just Frinton) a former civil parish, now in the parish of Frinton and Walton, in the Tendring district of Essex, England. In 2018 it had an estimated population of 4,837. In 1931 the parish had a population of 2196. History The place-name 'Frinton' is first attested in the Domesday Book of 1086, where it appears as ''Frientuna''. The name may mean 'fenced-in or enclosed town or settlement'. Until late Victorian times, Frinton-on-Sea was a church, several farms and a handful of cottages.
