''Tempo de Amar'' (English title: ''A Time to Love'') is a Brazilian telenovela produced and broadcast by Rede Globo. It premiered on 26 September 2017, replacing ''Novo Mundo'' and concluded its run on 19 March 2018, being replaced by ''Orgulho e Paixão''. It is created by Alcides Nogueira. The telenovela is based on the works of Rubem Fonseca and features writing collaborations by TarcÃsio Lara Puiati and BÃbi Da Pieve. Adriano Melo, Teresa Lampreia and Jayme Monjardim serve as the main directors. Telenovela
A telenovela is a type of a television serial drama or soap opera produced primarily in Latin America. The word combines ''tele'' (for "television") and ''novela'' (meaning "novel"). Similar drama genres around the world include '' teleserye'' (Philippines), '' téléroman'' (Canada, specifically Quebec), and ''sinetron'' (Indonesia). Commonly described using the American colloquialism Spanish soap opera, many telenovelas share some stylistic and thematic similarities to the soap opera familiar to the English-speaking world. The significant difference is their series run length; telenovelas tell one self-contained story, typically within the span of a year or less whereas soap operas tend to have intertwined storylines told during indefinite, continuing runs. This makes them shorter than most other television series, but still much longer than a miniseries. 1080i (also known as Full HD or BT.709) is a combination of frame resolution and scan type. 1080i is used in high-definition television (HDTV) and high-definition video. The number "1080" refers to the number of horizontal lines on the screen. José Do PatrocÃnio
José Carlos do PatrocÃnio (October 9, 1854 – January 29, 1905) was a Brazilian writer, journalist, activist, orator and pharmacist. He was among the most well-known proponents of the abolition of slavery in Brazil, and known as "O Tigre da Abolição" (''The Tiger of Abolition''). He founded and occupied the 21st chair of the Brazilian Academy of Letters from 1897 until his death in 1905. Joaquim Aurélio Barreto Nabuco de Araújo (August 19, 1849 – January 17, 1910) was a Brazilian writer, statesman, and a leading voice in the abolitionist movement of his country.
