The Telangana Football Association (abbreviated TFA) is one of the 36 Indian State Football Associations that are affiliated to the All India Football Federation. It administers football in the state of Telangana. It also sends state teams for Santosh Trophy and Senior Women's National Football Championship. Hyderabad Football Association The sports federation was formed in 1939 as the Hyderabad Football Association under the initiative of the first secretary Syed Mohammad Hadi. Ghulam Muhammad was elected the first President of HFA and in 1942 Hadi became the President with Syed Abdul Rahim becoming the secretary. The All India Football Federation (AIFF) is the national governing body of football in India. It is a member of FIFA, the international governing body of football and affiliated to Asian Football Confederation. It is affiliated to Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of Government of India and a member of South Asian Football Federation. Santosh Trophy
The Santosh Trophy, officially known as Hero Senior Men's National Football Championship due to sponsorship ties with Hero MotoCorp, is a state-level football competition contested by the state associations and government institutions under the All India Football Federation (AIFF), the sport's governing body in India. Before the starting of the first national club league, the National Football League in 1996, the Santosh Trophy was considered the top domestic honour in India. Many players who have represented India internationally, played and gained honour while playing in the Santosh Trophy. The tournament is held every year with 37 teams, who are divided into five zones, must play in the qualifying round and progress into the tournament proper. Malik Ghulam Muhammad
Sir Malik Ghulam Muhammad ( ur, ; 20 April 1895 – 29 August 1956), was a Pakistani politician and financier who served as the third governor-general of Pakistan, appointed in this capacity in 1951 until being dismissed in 1955 due to health conditions. He co-founded Mahindra & Mohammed in 1945 (later Mahindra & Mahindra in 1948) with Jagdish Chandra Mahindra and Kailash Chandra Mahindra. Syed Abdul Rahim
Syed Abdul Rahim (17 August 1909 – 11 June 1963), popularly known as Rahim Saab, was an Indian football coach and manager of the Indian national team from 1950 until his death in 1963, and a former player. He is regarded as the architect of modern Indian football. Basically a teacher by profession, he was a good motivator and his tenure as a coach is regarded as a "golden age" of football in India.
