Team BridgeLane
Team BridgeLane () is an Australian UCI Continental road cycling team based in Sydney, Australia. Team BridgeLane competes in the Australian National Road Series (NRS) as well the UCI Oceania Tour. Team history Established in January 2015 by Tom Petty as Mobius Future Racing, with major sponsorship from Mobius Marketing and Design Consultants principals Jane Tribe and Guy Bicknell, these days Team BridgeLane takes its name from the BridgeLane Group, an investment firm located in Sydney, Australia. The team finished 2nd overall in the 2016 National Road Series behind and 3rd in 2017. Outside of the NRS, the team has raced UCI events in the USA such as Tour of the Gila in 2017 and had riders represent Australia and New Zealand at World Championships on the track and the road. Road bicycle racing is the cycle sport discipline of road cycling, held primarily on Road surface, paved roads. Road racing is the most popular professional sport, professional form of bicycle racing, in terms of numbers of competitors, events and spectators. Alistair Donohoe
Alistair Donohoe (born 3 March 1995) is an Australian cyclist, who currently rides for Australian club team Blackburn CC. Following a right arm impairment in 2009, Donohoe became a multiple medallist at the UCI Para-cycling Road World Championships and UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships. He won two silver medals at the 2016 Summer Paralympics and a silver and bronze medal at the 2020 Summer Paralympics. He has been selected for the 2024 Paris Paralympics. Personal Donohoe was born on 3 March 1995 in Nhulunbuy, Northern Territory. In 2009, at the age of fourteen, he injured his right bicep/triceps as a result of his arm getting caught in a rope whilst trying to jump into a creek from a tree. Gravel And Tar
The Gravel and Tar Classic is a one-day cycling race, held annually in the Manawatu region of New Zealand, since 2016, finishing in Palmerston North. It is rated 1.2 and has been part of UCI Oceania Tour since 2018. The race is primarily on sealed roads, however the highlight of the race is the multiple gravel sectors (usually 5 or 6) throughout the course. The race is now considered to be the toughest one-day elite race in the Oceania region. The race is held in January each year, making it one of the first races on the UCI Calendar, and a key chance for teams and riders to gain early UCI points. The event has seen teams enter from countries such as Sweden, Japan, the US, and Australia, along with the best New Zealand men's trade teams. Palmerston North was the starting location of the race for its first three years, before the race start moved to its current location in Feilding in 2019.
