Tara Anne Fonseca is an Indian model and winner of the Miss Asia Pacific 1973 contest. She was the winner of the beauty pageant Miss Asia Pacific 1973, the second Indian to win this title after Zeenat Aman in 1970. Early and personal life Fonseca was born in Bangalore, Karnataka. She married Victor Menezes, an engineer and banker. Career Fonesca was the second runner-up of the annual Femina Miss India competition in 1973. Becoming third in the competition gave her access to participate in the Miss Asia Pacific contest of 1973. In which she was crowned Miss Asia Pacific 1973 by outgoing titleholder Janet Coutts of Australia at the end of the event. Fourteen countries participated in the event. Miss India or Femina Miss India is a national beauty pageant in India that annually selects representatives to compete in Miss World, one of the Big Four major international beauty pageants. Victor J. Menezes (born 14 May 1949) is an Indian banker. Early life He was born in Pune, India on 14 May 1947, the son of Manuel Menezes, who was the chairman of the Indian Railway Board. His younger brother Ivan Menezes is CEO of Diageo. He received his degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay in 1970. Zeenat Aman
Zeenat Khan (born 19 November 1951), better known as Zeenat Aman, is an Indian actress and former fashion model. She first received recognition for her modelling work, and at the age of 19, went on to participate in beauty pageants, winning both the Femina Miss India pageant and the Miss Asia Pacific International pageant in 1970. She began acting in 1970, and her early works included the films ''The Evil Within'' (1970) and ''Hulchul'' (1971).
