Tara-Jane Stanley is an English rugby league footballer who plays as a for York Valkyrie in the Womens Super League. She has played at representative level for England, and club level for Thatto Heath Crusaders and Castleford Tigers Women. She was in the running for the inaugural Woman of Steel award in 2018, but lost out to Castleford Tigers teammate Georgia Roche. Stanley began her rugby career playing for Moorfield Angels. The 2017 Rugby League World Cup was the fifteenth staging of the Rugby League World Cup tournament and took place in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea between 27 October and 2 December 2017. The 2021 Rugby League World Cup (RLWC2021) was a collection of world cups in the sport of rugby league, held in England from 15 October to 19 November 2022. The Castleford Tigers are a professional rugby league club in Castleford, West Yorkshire, England, that compete in the Super League, the top-level professional rugby league club competition in the Northern Hemisphere. The club have competed in the top division for the majority of their existence, having only been relegated twice in their history. They have won the Challenge Cup four times.
