Tamara Mascara is the stage name of Raphael Massaro (born 15 November 1987), is an Austrian DJ, fashion designer, presenter and one of the best-known Austrian drag queens. Austria participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 with the song "Rise Like a Phoenix", written by Charlie Mason, Joey Patulka, Ali Zuckowski and Julian Maas. The song was performed by Conchita Wurst, the drag stage persona of Tom Neuwirth, who had risen to fame after taking part in an Austrian talent show in 2011 and attempting to represent Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012. Shane Gilberto Jenek (born 18 February 1982), better known under the stage name Courtney Act, is an Australian drag queen, singer and television personality. Courtney first came to prominence competing on the Australian Idol (season 1), first season of ''Australian Idol'' in 2003. The Eurovision Song Contest 2019 was the 64th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Tel Aviv, Israel, following the country's victory at the 2018 contest with the song " Toy" by Netta. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation (IPBC/Kan), the contest was held at Expo Tel Aviv, and consisted of two semi-finals on 14 and 16 May, and a final on 18 May 2019. Vienna Pride
Vienna Pride is a celebration that takes place in the Austrian capital every year in support of equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people. It includes the Austrian pride parade, the Rainbow Parade (Regenbogen-Parade) which takes place on the Vienna Ring Road, (Ringstraße), at the end of the festival. History HOSI Wien organised the first gay rights half-day festival and unofficial march in Vienna in 1982, attended by approximately 100 people. This was followed by the first Pride parade in 1984, organised by a range of gay and lesbian groups as part of Gay Pride Week ("Warme Woche"). A ball is a formal dance party often characterised by a banquet followed by a social dance that includes ballroom dancing. Mara Mattuschka (born 22 May 1959) is an Austrian ''avant-garde'' filmmaker. Life Mattuschka was born in Sofia in Bulgaria in 1959. At the age of 17, in 1976, she moved to Vienna to study Ethnology and Linguistics. In 1983, she entered Maria Lassnig's masterclass in animation and painting at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and started making her first short films. Her graduation film ''Der Einzug des Rokoko ins Inselreich der Huzis'' caused a small scandal at the university in 1989, because it mixed animation, theatre, performance, music and fine arts. She graduated in 1990. From 1997 until 2001 she taught arts at Braunschweig University of Art in Germany. She also taught at University of Art and Design Linz. Christopher Street Day (CSD) is an annual European LGBTQ+ celebration and demonstration held in various cities across Europe for the rights of LGBTQ+ people, and against discrimination and exclusion.
