Taking the Head of Goliath is a Christian death metal band that originated in 2015. Background Taking the Head of Goliath started in 2015 with members Jake Martin, Matt Vangsgard and Nathan Sherman. The band later added rhythm guitarist Rob Blake. The band became best known when they hired bassist/backing vocalist Luke Renno of the band Crimson Thorn. The band played their first show at one of For Today's final tour dates. The band has recently signed to Rottweiler Records. The band was featured on a compilation called ''Kill the Ill'', a Benefit Compilation for Shawn Browning, owner and founder of Rottweiler. The band is currently working on a new album. Vangsgard departed from the band on October 1, 2017. The band would later announce that Steve Reishus, former Crimson Thorn drummer, had joined the band as their drummer. Lifest is an annual Christian music festival that takes place in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, at the Sunnyview Expo Center. Lifest has the slogan "A Party with a Purpose." It is one of the largest Christian music festivals in America. History Lifest started as a walk/run in 1990. Lifest became a music festival in 1999 and was attendance by 7000. It became five days long for the first time in 2006. Starting in 2013, it was shortened to four days. It is held on or around the second weekend of July. In 2013, Lifest had an average of 20,000 attendees per day. The event had 23,000 attendees in 2017. As of 2018, Lifest featured around 150 artists on seven stages. For Today was an American Christian metalcore band from Sioux City, Iowa, formed in 2005. They released two EPs, ''Your Moment, Your Life, Your Time'' and ''Prevailer'', and six full-length albums: '' Ekklesia'' in, 2008, ''Portraits'' in 2009, ''Breaker'' in 2010, ''Immortal'' in 2012, ''Fight the Silence'' in 2014, and '' Wake'' in 2015. My Place Was Taken is a deathcore and hardcore punk band that originated out of Matamoros, Mexico. The band originated in 2014 and signed to Rottweiler Records in 2017. History My Place Was Taken began in 2014, as a project between vocalist Jesus Salaz and guitarist Abraham Barberi. Shortly after the formation of the project, the two added on bassist Helix Nebula and drummer Daniel Castaneda. The four recorded and produced a self-titled five-track EP, which caused the band to gain popularity in the Mexico metal scene. Terrorizer is an American grindcore band formed in 1986 in Los Angeles, California.
