Taiyanggong
Taiyanggong Area () is an area and township on the north of Chaoyang District, Beijing, China. It borders Wangjing and Datun Subdistricts to the north, Jiangtai Township to the east, Maizidian, Zuojiazhuang and Xiangheyuan Subdistricts to the south, Heping Street and Xiaoguan Subdistrict to the west. In 2020, it has a population of 86,935. The name of the township, Taiyanggong (), was first given by the Qianlong Emperor to the region during the Qing dynasty. The region also used to host Taiyanggong Temple that was demolished in the 1950s. Area (Beijing)
Area () is a type of township-level divisions of China that is only used within Beijing. It is an intermediate designation between the rural township or town and the more urban subdistrict, and is given to settlements resembling desakotas. Usually, each area within Beijing will also carry its previous respective designation as a town or township, and the town/township government will take additional role as the area office (). Such a system is referred to as "One agency, two nameplates" (). For the most part, the area and town/township will share the same place name, such as Nanmofang and Liangxiang. However, there are also exceptions, such as the town name of Wanliu Area being Haidian. Chaoyang District () is a core district of Beijing. It borders the districts of Shunyi to the northeast, Tongzhou to the east and southeast, Daxing to the south, Fengtai to the southwest, Dongcheng, Xicheng and Haidian to the west, and Changping to the northwest. Chaoyang is home to the majority of Beijing's many foreign embassies, the well-known Sanlitun bar street, as well as Beijing's growing central business district. The Olympic Green, built for the 2008 Summer Olympics, is also in Chaoyang. This is a list of township-level divisions of the municipality of Beijing, People's Republic of China (PRC). After province, prefecture, and county-level divisions, township-level divisions constitute the formal fourth-level administrative divisions of the PRC. However, as Beijing is a province-level municipality, the prefecture-level divisions are absent and so county-level divisions are at the second level, and township-level divisions are at the third level of administration. Jiangtai Area () is an area and township on the northern portion of Chaoyang District, Beijing, China. It borders Wangjing, Jiuxianqiao Subdistricts and Cuigezhuang Township to the north, Dongba Township to the east, Jiuxianqiao, Maizidian Subdistricts and Dongfeng Township to the south, and Taiyanggong Township to the west. Maizidian Subdistrict () is a subdistrict of Chaoyang District, Beijing. It borders Taiyanggong Township to the north, Jiangtai Township to the northeast, Dongfeng Township to the north, Tuanjiehu and Liulitun Subdistricts to the south, Sanlitun Subdistrict to the west, and Zuojiazhuang Subdistrict to the northwest. Xiaoguan Subdistrict
Xiaoguan Subdistrict () is a subdistrict on the northwest of Chaoyang District, Beijing, China. It borders Taiyanggong Township to the East, Heping Street Subdistrict to the south, Yayuncun Subdistrict to the west, and Datun Subdistrict to the north. As of 2020, it has a total population of 61,966. This district's name, Xiaoguan () came from the fact that there used to be a checkpoint within the area.
