Tainan Municipal Cultural Center
The Tainan Municipal Cultural Center (TMCC; ) is a cultural center in East District, Tainan, Taiwan. History The construction of the center started in June 1980 and was inaugurated on 6 October 1984 as Tainan Municipal Cultural Center. In 2000, it was renamed to Tainan Municipal Arts Center. However, on 20 May 2004 it was renamed back again to Tainan Municipal Cultural Center. East District, Tainan
East District () is a district home to 180,409 people located in Tainan, Taiwan. History East District was formed with the merging of Dongmen and Zhuwei and part of Kaishan and Zhaohe in 1945. The East District Office was originally established in Mituo Temple. In April 1946, Dapu, Gongming, Junwang, Kaishan and Wufei were added into the district, which made the district consisted of 26 villages. In July 1946, the district office moved to Junwang Temple. In March 1948, Dalin dan Zhusi were added into the district, which made the district consisted of 28 villages. In February 1954, Annei, Anwai, Dapu and Jioupu were consolidated into Chuanbei, Chuannan, Longshan and Siaonan Villages and Dalin, Ludong and Xiaodong were subdivided into Dafu, Daming, Dong'an, Qianfong, Xinsheng Villages, resulting in a total of 26 villages under the district. Tainan Railway Station
Tainan () is a railway station in Tainan, Taiwan served by Taiwan Railways Administration. Situated in centre of the old town square of Tainan, Tainan Station is the main station of the city and also one of the major stations along the western trunk line in Taiwan. The Shalun line, opened in 2011, allows through services to link the station with THSR Tainan Station. Overview The station has one island platform and one side platform.
