Teth
Teth, also written as or Tet, is the ninth letter of the Semitic abjads, including Phoenician Ṭēt , Hebrew Tēt , Aramaic Ṭēth , Syriac Ṭēṯ ܛ, and Arabic . It is the 16th letter of the modern Arabic alphabet. The Persian ṭa is pronounced as a hard "t" sound and is the 19th letter in the modern Persian alphabet. Mahmoud Taha
Mahmoud Taha ( ar, محمود طه) (born 1942) is a Jordanian artist, Pottery, potter and Ceramics (art), ceramicist noted for integrating calligraphy into his ceramics and is regarded as the leading ceramicist in the Arab world. Life and career Mahmoud Taha was born in Jaffa in 1942. He studied at Baghdad Academy of Fine Arts where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1968. He then went on to study calligraphy with the renowned calligrapher Mohammad Al-Hafez. He later continued his training in ceramics at Cardiff College of Arts in Wales, graduating in 1976. On his return to Jordan, he established a studio specialising in ceramics, ceramic sculpture and calligraphy. In 1966, his arts professor, Kadhim Haydar, advised the young artist to use Arabic calligraphic elements in some of his works, since the professor had noticed Taha's talent for calligraphy. The Alpujarra (, Arabic: ''al-bussarat'') is a natural and historical region in Andalusia, Spain, on the south slopes of the Sierra Nevada and the adjacent valley. The average elevation is above sea level. It extends over two provinces, Granada and Almería; it is sometimes referred to in the plural as "Las Alpujarras". There are several interpretations of this Arabic-origin name: the most convincing is that it derives from ''al-basharāt'' (), meaning something like "sierra of pastures". La Taha
La Taha, is a municipality in the Alpujarras region of the province of Granada, Spain. The modern municipality consists of three distinct villages, though several of these are themselves clusters of distinct settlements. It lies to the east of the villages of the Río Poqueira gorge, and to the south and west of Trevélez. The villages are all on south-facing slopes overlooking the Río Trevélez. Wasil Taha ( ar, واصل طه, he, וואסל טאהה, born 24 April 1952) is an Israeli Arab politician and a former member of the Knesset for the Balad party. Biography Born in Kafr Kanna in 1952, Taha studied Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Haifa, receiving a BA. He was first elected to the Knesset in the 2003 elections on Balad's list and retained his seat in the 2006 elections. Walid Yusuf Taha ( ar, وليد طه, he, וָולְיַד יוֹסֵף טָאהָא; born 7 September 1968) is an Israeli Arab politician. He is currently a member of the Knesset for the United Arab List. Biography Born in Kafr Qasim, Taha gained a bachelor's degree in political science from the Open University, a bachelor's degree in history at Tel Aviv University, and a master's degree in political science at Tel Aviv University. He worked in education in Ramla as the principal of Al Huda School. A member of the Islamic Movement, Taha became the chair of the organisation's Kafr Qasim branch. He was elected to the city council, becoming director of education.
