Ta'ayush
Ta'ayush ( he, תעאיוש, ar, تعايش; lit. "coexistence" or "life in common") is a grassroots volunteer organization established in the fall of 2000 by a joint network of Palestinian People, Palestinians and Israelis to counter the nationalist reactions aroused by the Second Intifada, Al-Aqsa Intifada. It describes itself as "a grassroots movement of Arabs and Jews working to break down the walls of racism and segregation by constructing a true Arab-Jewish partnership. Together we strive for a future of equality, justice and peace through concrete, daily, non-violent actions of solidarity to end the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories and to achieve full civil equality for all." Ezra Nawi
Ezra Yitzhak Nawi ( he, עזרא יצחק נאווי; 1951 – 9 January 2021) was an Israeli Mizrahi Jews, Mizrahi Jew, left-wing, human rights activist and pacifist. He was particularly active among the Bedouin herders and farmers of the Hebron, South Hebron Hills and against the establishment of Israeli settlements there, in what Uri Avnery described as a protracted effort by settlers to cleanse the area of Arab villagers, in the prevention of which he played a key role. He was described as a "Ta'ayush ''nudnik'' (nuisance)", and "a working-class, liberal gay version of Joe the Plumber". He was regarded by some as an extreme leftist activist and troublemaker. Yanun
Yanun ( ar, يانون, translit=Yânûn) is a Palestinian territories, Palestinian village in the Nablus Governorate of the State of Palestine, in the northern West Bank, located southeast of Nablus, and 3 miles north of Aqraba, Nablus, Aqraba. It lies within West Bank#Administration, Area C, under total Israeli control, of the West Bank. It is divided into two sites, upper and lower Yanun. Upper or northern Yanin is considered illegal by the Israeli authorities, and development is prohibited there. David Dean Shulman
David Dean Shulman (born January 13, 1949) is an Israeli Indologist, poet and peace activist, known for his work on the history of religion in South India, Indian poetics, Tamil Islam, Dravidian linguistics, and Carnatic music. Bilingual in Hebrew and English, he has mastered Sanskrit, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, and reads Greek, Russian, French, German, Persian, Arabic and Malayalam. He was formerly Professor of Indian Studies and Comparative Religion at the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, and professor in the now defunct Department of Indian, Iranian and Armenian Studies, and now holds an appointment as ''Renee Lang Professor of Humanistic Studies'' at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Jayyous
Jayyus ( ar, جيوس) is a Palestinian village near the west border of the West Bank, close to Qalqilya. It is a farming community. According to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, the village had a population of approximately 3,307 inhabitants in 2006. Location Jayyus (including Khirbet Sir) is located - northeast of Qalqiliya. Avraham "Avri" Ran (born 1955) is an Israeli settler activist and businessman, with a record for repeated criminal offenses against Palestinian people, Palestinians. He has been called the founding father and "undisputed symbol" of the Hilltop Youth movement. His approach to developing Palestinian lands has been described as "environmental racism", combining working the soil, ''terra'' while applying Israeli settler violence, terror. An organic food entrepreneur, he is also a reserve lieutenant/colonel in the IDF. As-Samu
As Samu' or es-Samu' ( ar, السموع) () is a town in the Hebron Governorate of the West Bank, Palestine, 12 kilometers south of the city of Hebron and 60 kilometers southwest of Jerusalem. Geography The area is a hilly, rocky area cut by some wadis. The Armistice Demarcation Line (ADL, Green line) runs generally east to west approximately five kilometers south of as-Samu'. The village of as-Samu' is located on twin hills with a wadi varying from shallow to deep between them. The International Solidarity Movement (ISM) is a Palestinian-led movement focused on assisting the Palestinian cause in the Israeli–Palestinian conflict. ISM is dedicated to the use of nonviolent protests and methods only. The organization calls on civilians from around the world to participate in acts of nonviolent protests against the Israeli military in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. Yesh Gvul
Yesh Gvul ( he, יש גבול, can be translated as "There is a limit", as "There is a border", or as "Enough is enough") is a movement founded in 1982 at the outbreak of the Lebanon War, by combat veterans who refused to serve in Lebanon. Yesh Gvul's campaign of selective refusal is credited with contributing to the Israeli government's decision to withdraw from south Lebanon. Members of Yesh Gvul have also opposed military service in the Occupied Territories. Their slogan in 2014 was: "We don't shoot, we don't cry, and we don't serve in the occupied territories!" Members of Yesh Gvul perform military duty on a selective basis, dependent upon the nature and location of service.
