T Brigade Group
T-Brigade was a brigade group of the Royal Netherlands Army. At the end of the World War II, the formation consisted of the 2nd Battalion, 6th RIR, 1st Stootroepen Battalion and the 2/13th Light Infantry Battalion. Salatiga
Salatiga ( jv, ꦯꦭꦠꦶꦒ) is a Cities of Indonesia, city in Central Java province, Indonesia. It covers an area of and had a population of 192,322 at the 2020 Indonesian census, 2020 Census. In order to contain Bersiap, the violence in the Dutch East Indies after the Surrender of Japan, Japanese capitulation in 1945 and to restore colonial order, the Netherlands sent battalions of ''Oorlogsvrijwilligers'' (OVWs; en, War Volunteers) to the colony. They were recruited in 1944 and 1945, mostly in the southern provinces of the Netherlands, and initially intended for deployment in Europe. 5th Parachute Brigade (United Kingdom)
The 5th Parachute Brigade was an airborne forces formation of brigade strength, raised by the British Army during the Second World War. Created during 1943, the brigade was assigned to the 6th Airborne Division, serving alongside the 3rd Parachute Brigade and the 6th Airlanding Brigade. The brigade first saw action in the British airborne landings on D-Day Operation Tonga, where it was responsible for capturing the Caen canal and Orne river bridges. The brigade remained in Normandy until September 1944, by which time it had advanced to the mouth of the River Seine. Its next engagement was in reaction to the surprise German offensive in the Ardennes, the Battle of the Bulge. This was followed by Operation Varsity, the last Allied airborne mission of the war.
