TCL Classic
The TCL Classic was a men's professional golf tournament which was played on a course designed by American Robert Trent Jones, Jr. at Yalong Bay Golf Club in Sanya on Hainan Island, People's Republic of China four times between 2002 and 2007. The first tournament was held at Haiyi Golf Club in Dongguan on Guangdong, China, in 2002. It was the first tournament sponsored by the Chinese company TCL Corporation. The tournament was first played in 2002, when, as an event sanctioned by the Asian Tour, it was won by Scotsman Colin Montgomerie. The 2005 European Tour was the 34th golf season since the European Tour officially began in 1972. The season began with three tournaments held in late 2004 and consisted of 47 official money events, which was a new record total. This included four major championships and three World Golf Championships, which were also sanctioned by the PGA Tour. 27 events took place in Europe, ten in Asia, six in the United States, two in South Africa and one each in Australia and New Zealand. Andrew Buckle
Andrew Nicholas Buckle (born 24 September 1982) is an Australian professional golfer. Buckle was born in Brisbane, Queensland. He had a promising amateur career, including two wins in the Boy's 15–17 division at the World Junior Golf Championships and the Australian Amateur. Buckle won the 2002 Queensland Open on his professional debut. As a professional, he has plied his trade all over the world, including time on the PGA Tour of Australasia and appearances in Europe and Japan. Rafael Echenique
Rafael Echenique (born 18 October 1980) is an Argentine professional golfer. Early life and amateur career Echenique was born in San Luis, Argentina. He won the Argentine Amateur Rankings in 1997/98. Professional career Echenique turned pro in 1999. Having failed to gain a place on the European Tour via the qualifying school on four occasions, he finally won a card on the main tour by virtue of finishing seventh on the 2006 Challenge Tour, helped by winning the Telia Challenge Waxholm in Sweden. Prize money refers in particular to naval prize money, usually arising in naval warfare, but also in other circumstances.
