São Paulo Metropolitan Trains
The São Paulo Metropolitan Train is a public transit rail system implanted in Greater São Paulo, serving 23 of its 39 municipalities. It has of length, 7 lines and 94 stations, transporting approximately 3 million passengers per day. Currently, it is operated by the state-owned company Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos (CPTM), but two of the lines were auctioned to ViaMobilidade, which began operating their administrations in January 2022. History The story of railways in the state of São Paulo begins in 1867 with the construction of the first link between the cities of Santos, São Paulo and Jundiaí by São Paulo Railway, opened on 16 February 1867, which crossed the state plateau and going down the Serra do Mar. Estrada De Ferro Santos-Jundiaí
Estrada de Ferro Santos-Jundiaí was a gauge railway line in São Paulo, Brazil. On 13 September 1946, the São Paulo Railway was nationalised by the federal government, and passed to be managed by the Brazilian Ministry of Transportation and Public Works (). In 1948 it was renamed and in 1957 became part of (RFFSA). It was incorporated by RFFSA in 1969. In the 1970s, the haulage system was replaced by a three blade abt system which was installed by the Japanese firm Marubeni. The locomotives for this changeover had been constructed by Hitachi. RFFSA
The Rede Ferroviária Federal, Sociedade Anônima (RFFSA, pronounced as ''Refesa'') () was the State-owned national railway company of Brazil created from ''Brazilian Federal Law #3.115'' on March 16, 1957, after several railroads were nationalized by the Brazilian government. However, the railroad did not take full effect until September 30, 1957. The RFFSA linked 42 railways together (both on documents and actual railroads), creating a regional system composed of 22 railroads. The goal of the RFFSA was to promote and advance the railroad sector of Brazil, creating a north-south-east-west rail network in all five regions of Brazil. Imperatriz Leopoldina is a train station on ViaMobilidade Line 8-Diamond, located in the district of Vila Leopoldina in São Paulo. History Besides the railway crosses the region west to district of Lapa, which was created in 1894 with the name of Vila Leopoldina, not any station, stop, or derivative installation was built until 1925, when the recent founded São Paulo Coffee Institute built a Coffee Regulator Warehouse next to Km 11 of the main Estrada de Ferro Sorocabana track, in an area given by the company. The Estrada de Ferro Central do Brasil was one of the principal railways of Brazil, uniting the states of Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Minas Gerais.
