Tuborg Havn
Tuborg Havn or Port of Tuborg is a marina and surrounding mixed-use neighbourhood in the Hellerup district of Copenhagen, Denmark. Located on a peninsula on the north side of Svanemølle Bay, just north of the border to Copenhagen Municipality, it is the result of a redevelopment of the former industrial site of Tuborg Breweries which ceased operations in 1996. The marina is operated by the Royal Danish Yacht Club which also has their club house at the site. Other local landmarks include the Experimentarium science centre, the Waterfront shopping centre and the Saxo Bank headquarters. Hellerup () is a very affluent district of Gentofte Municipality in the suburbs of Copenhagen, Denmark. The most urban part of the district is centred on Strandvejen and is bordered by Østerbro to the south and the Øresund to the east. It comprises Tuborg Havn, the redeveloped brewery site of Tuborg Breweries, with the Waterfront Shopping Center, a marina and the headquarters of several large companies. Svanemølle Power Station (Denmark, Danish: Svanemølleværket) is a Fossil-fuel power station, natural gas fueled Cogeneration, combined heat and power station located at the south side of Svanemølle Bay in the Nordhavnen of Copenhagen, Denmark. Its primary task is to supply district heating to the district-heating network of Greater Copenhagen. History Svanemølle Power Station was built by Københavns Belysningsvæsen between 1947 and 1953 to supplement H. C. Ørsted Power Station in the Kongens Enghave. It was designed by Louis Hygom who had already carried out expansions and adaptions of the H. C. Ørsted plant in 1924 and 1932. The plant was originally coal-fired but was converted to natural gas and oil firing in 1985. In 1995 two old generators were replaced by a gas turbine referred to as unit 7.
