''State Is Burning'' is the eighth full-length studio album by Israeli punk band Useless ID. It was released on July 1, 2016, and is the band's second album and third release on Fat Wreck Chords. It was released more than 4 years after the band's previous album, ''Symptoms'', marking the longest gap between two Useless ID albums. It was also preceded by a 7-inch EP for the album's first single " We Don't Want the Airwaves", which was released on May 6, 2016. Musically. the album is a return to the faster, more aggressive sound of earlier releases by the band. It is the fourth album the band recorded at the Blasting Room in Fort Collins, Colorado, recorded December 3–19, 2015, with producers Bill Stevenson and Jason Livermore, and the band's first and only album with drummer Gideon Berger, who announced his departure during the album's release show on June 30, 2016. Useless ID
Useless ID ( he, יוסלס איי.די) is an Israeli punk rock band, formed in Haifa, Israel in 1994. Known as one of the most successful Middle Eastern punk bands worldwide. History Useless ID was founded in 1994 as a four-piece: Guy Carmel - vocal and guitar, Ralf Hober - drums, Adi Elkabets - lead guitar, Nadav Elkabets - Bass. At its first years, the band was mainly active in the Israeli punk scene, and released two studio albums independently, on its own label "Falafel Records", named after band member's favorite food, the falafel. The band's singer at the time was rhythm guitarist Guy Carmel. Two years after the band's formation, the four members decided to play shows in the United States and toured around the country for six months. Surf Rock
Surf music (or surf rock, surf pop, or surf guitar) is a Music genre, genre of rock music associated with surf culture, particularly as found in Southern California. It was especially popular from 1958 to 1964 in two major forms. The first is instrumental surf, distinguished by reverb-heavy electric guitars played to evoke the sound of crashing waves, largely pioneered by Dick Dale and the Del-Tones. The Ramones
The Ramones were an American punk rock band that formed in the New York City neighborhood of Forest Hills, Queens, in 1974. They are often cited as the first true punk rock group. Despite achieving a limited commercial appeal in the United States during their time together, the band saw more success in England and Brazil, and are today seen as highly influential. Man Alive is an Israeli punk rock band, formed in 1999 in Jerusalem, by members Jamie Hilsden on vocals and guitar, Jeremy Boyd on bass guitar and Joel Hilsden on drums. History The band was formed by vocalist and guitarist Jamie Hilsden, bassist Jeremy Boyd and drummer Joel Hilsden. The band was later accompanied by second guitarist Bethany Ridings.
