Star Saga
''Star Saga'' is a series of video games which combine a computerized game arbiter with a game board and books of printed text. The games blend aspects of paper gamebooks with role-playing video games. They were released for MS-DOS and the Apple II. Games '' Star Saga: One - Beyond The Boundary'', released in 1988, was the first in a short-lived series of science fiction adventure/role-playing games by Masterplay Publishing. The second title, '' Star Saga: Two - The Clathran Menace'' was the sequel, released in 1989. Although ''Star Saga'' was to be released as a trilogy, Masterplay went out of business before the third game was released, leaving only ''Star Saga: One - Beyond the Boundary'' and ''Star Saga: Two - The Clathran Menace''. Cinemaware
Cinemaware was a video game developer and publisher that released several titles in the 1980s based on various film themes. The company was resurrected in 2000, before being acquired by eGames in 2005. Cinemaware Corp. (1986–1991) The company was founded in January 1986 by Phyllis and Robert “Bob” Jacob. Hotseat (multiplayer Mode)
Hotseat or hot seat is a multiplayer mode provided by some turn-based video games, which allows two or more players to play on the same device by taking turns playing the game. The term was first used as a reference to playing a PC game and trading seats with the other player, but the mode dates back to early 1980s arcade games. A notable example of games that use this mode is the ''Heroes of Might and Magic'' series, which allows up to 8 players to play locally on the same computer. Hotseat multiplayer has also seen prominence on some console video games, especially certain multiplayer games that are intended to be family-friendly, within the party genre, or both. A gamemaster (GM; also known as game master, game manager, game moderator, referee, or storyteller) is a person who acts as an organizer, officiant for regarding rules, arbitrator, and moderator for a multiplayer role-playing game. They are more common in co-operative games in which players work together than in competitive games in which players oppose each other. The act performed by a gamemaster is sometimes referred to as "Gamemastering" or simply "GM-ing". The role of a gamemaster in a traditional table-top role-playing game (pencil-and-paper role-playing game) is to weave the other participants' player-character stories together, control the non-player aspects of the game, create environments in which the players can interact, and solve any player disputes. A sequel is a work of literature, film, theatre, television, music or video game that continues the story of, or expands upon, some earlier work.
