Sorbus Randaiensis
''Sorbus randaiensis'' is a deciduous tree of family Rosaceae. It is an endemic species in Taiwan and can be found in the mountain areas of middle Taiwan, with altitude 1,800m to 3,200m, mostly spotted in the forest of Xueshan, Hehuan Mountain, , and Nenggao Mountain. It is a tree 3–8 m tall with white flowers and reddish fruit. Naming It was first described as ''Pyrus aucuparia'' var. Bunzō Hayata
was a Japanese botanist noted for his taxonomic work in Japan and Formosa, present day Taiwan. Early life Hayata was born to a devout Buddhist family in Kamo, Niigata on December 2, 1874. When he was 16, Hayata became interested in botany, and he joined the Botanical Society of Tokyo in 1892. His schooling was delayed by a series of family tragedies, and he graduated middle school at the age of 23. Gen'ichi Koidzumi
was a Japanese botanist, author of several papers and monographs on phytogeography including work on roses and Amygdaloideae (Rosaceae), maples (Aceraceae), mulberries (the genus '' Morus''), and many other plants. His name is sometimes transliterated as Gen’ichi or Gen-Iti, or as Koizumi. Biography Gen-ichi Koidzumi was born in Yonezawa in Yamagata Prefecture in 1883. After graduating from the Sapporo Agricultural College, he studied biology at Tokyo Imperial University from 1905, continuing his studies there under Matsumura Jinzō, and receiving his doctorate in 1916. In 1919, he was appointed assistant professor at Kyoto Imperial University, where he remained (other than for a tour of the herbaria of Europe and the United States from 1925 to 1927) until his retirement in 1943; he was promoted to full professor in 1936. Xueshan
Xueshan, formerly known as and by other names, is a mountain in the Heping District of Taichung, Taiwan. It is the 2nd-highest mountain in Taiwan and in East Asia, at above sea level. Hehuan Mountain
Mount Hehuan (; also called Joy Mountain) is a mountain in Central Taiwan. The peak lies on the borders of Nantou and Hualien counties and is located within Taroko National Park. Hehuanshan is a popular destination in central Taiwan. The 3,421-metre east peak and 3,422-metre north peak of Hehuanshan are both higher than the main peak.
