Sophie De Goede
Sophie de Goede (born 30 June 1999) is a Canadian rugby union player. She plays for Canada internationally and played for Saracens in the Premier 15s. She captained Canada at the delayed 2021 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand. Biography De Goede is the daughter of former Canadian internationals who captained their respective teams, Stephanie and Hans de Goede. In 2017, She was named U Sports’ Rookie of the Year, and in 2018, she won the U Sports’ Player of the Year. De Goede joined Saracens in the Premier 15s after moving to London in 2020. In 2021, She was awarded Player of the Match after Saracens defeated Loughborough Lightning in the Premier 15s semi-final. In 2022, De Goede won the Lois and Doug Mitchell U Sports Athlete of the Year Award after she led Queen’s University's Gaels women’s rugby team to their first championship and then helped the women’s basketball team win the bronze medal at the 2022 U Sports Women's Basketball Championship. Saracens Women
Saracens Women (Help:IPA/English, /ˈsærəsənz/) are a women's rugby union club based in Hendon, London, England. They were founded in 1989 and currently play in the Premier 15s, the top level competition of Women's rugby union, women's rugby in the country. United States Women's National Rugby Union Team
The USA Women's National Team XVs is the senior national team for the United States in the 15-a-side version of rugby. The team was officially formed in 1987 and is nicknamed the Eagles. An international powerhouse during the 1990s— the Eagles won the inaugural 1991 Women's World Cup and finished second in the two following World Cups in 1994 and 1998. New Zealand Women's National Rugby Union Team
The New Zealand women's rugby union team, called the Black Ferns, represents New Zealand in women's international rugby union, which is regarded as the country's national sport. 2023 Pacific Four Series
The 2023 Pacific Four Series was the third edition of the Pacific Four Series, an international women's rugby union tournament that served as one of the principal qualification routes for the top two tiers of WXV. The tournament was hosted by Spain, Australia and Canada. The series took place over three months. The first round saw Canada and the United States play the opening match in Madrid on 1 April 2023, followed by Australia hosting New Zealand on 29 June 2023 in Brisbane. The series concluded in Canada with all four teams competing over two weekends in early July for the title.
