Singdam Yokkao Saenchaigym, formerly known as Singdam Kiatmuukao (สิงห์ดำ เกียรติหมู่9), is a Muay Thai fighter from Thailand. He is a Lumpinee Stadium champion, and is known for his powerful right kicks and technical fighting. Biography Early career Singdam is from Buriram in the Northeast part of Thailand. He began fighting at the age of nine and just one year later began training at the Kiatmuu9 gym, where he's been ever since. 2002–2005 In 2002 he beat Orono Wor Petchpun at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium for the title Featherweight champion of Thailand. Shortly after he was awarded with the sports writers of Thailand fighters of the year. In 2004 he beat Yodsanklai Fairtex, then fought Anuwat Kaewsamrit in a fight that would determine who would win the same award, but this time he was KO'd by a punch. Rajadamnern Stadium ( th, สนามมวยราชดำเนิน; ), also spelled ''Ratchadamnoen'', is a sporting arena in Bangkok, Thailand. Along with Lumpinee Boxing Stadium, Rajadamnern is one of the two main stadiums for modern muay Thai. It hosts fights every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday. The stadium has its own ranking system and championship titles up to middleweight (160 lbs). History In 1941, the prime minister of Thailand, Field Marshal Plaek Phibunsongkhram, gave orders to build a national boxing stadium on Rajadamnern Avenue. Every given year in the Muay Thai world, with few exceptions, three different major "Fighter of the Year" awards are presented. The Sports Writers Association of Thailand in the first half of a year annually, the Sports Authority of Thailand decides the winner at the end of December, and the Siam Kela award is given in March annually. Prior to 1984, they had only given the "Athlete of the Year Award". Lumpinee Stadium
Lumpinee Boxing Stadium ( th, สนามเวทีมวยลุมพินี) is a sporting arena in Bangkok, Thailand. The stadium is named after Lumbini, the birthplace of the Buddha. Opened more than a decade later than Rajadamnern Stadium, Lumpinee is run by the Royal Thai Army. It has become the symbol of modern Muay Thai. Only Rajadamnern Stadium rivals the prestige of holding the title of "Muay Thai Champion of Lumpinee". The ranking system and championship titles are held from mini flyweight (105 lb) up to super welterweight (154 lb). Muay Thai bouts are held on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Suphachai "Saenchai" Saepong (born July 30, 1980), formerly known as Saenchai Sor. Kingstar ( th, แสนชัย ส.คิงสตาร์), is a Muay Thai fighter of Khon Isan descent. Saenchai won the Lumpinee Stadium title, which is widely considered the most prestigious title in Muay Thai, in four different weight divisions, while mostly fighting larger opponents. He is considered by many to be the best pound for pound Muay Thai fighter, and is regarded as one of the best fighters of all time. Saenchai would often give up weight to find worthy opponents in Thailand, and from 2003-2014 only lost two times in Thailand when the weights were equal, with all other losses happening when he was forced to have a weight disadvantage to make the fights more evenly matched. Craig Coakley is an Irish lightweight Muay Thai kickboxer currently fighting out of Dublin Combat Academy. Biography Craig Coakley was born in the Irish city of Dublin on 11 December 1992. He started boxing as a child and got into Muay Thai when he was 18 to lose weight. Coakley made his fight debut 3 months after training and won by KO in the third round after breaking his opponent’s nose. On 25 March 2017, Coakley made his promotional debut for Yokkao.
