Silje Øyre Slind
Silje Øyre Slind (born 9 February 1988) is a Norwegian cross-country skier. She made her World Cup debut in the 2011–12 season opener at Sjusjøen, finishing 32nd. She collected several World Cup points in the 2014–15 season, recording sixth and eight places in Rybinsk in January 2015. She once again broke the top-ten barrier in December 2015, finishing seventh in the Lillehammer sprint. In February 2017 she made her first podiums, in Pyeongchang where she finished second in the sprint and team sprint. She also competed at the 2013 Winter Universiade, recording a sixth place (relay) and a seventh place. She represented the sports clubs Oppdal IL. Anna Svendsen (born 25 March 1990) is a Norwegian cross-country skier who represents Tromsø Ski Club. She made her World Cup debut in March 2012. Svendsen is also a trained nurse. The 2015–16 FIS Cross-Country World Cup was the 35th official World Cup season in cross-country skiing for men and women. The season started on 27 November 2015 in Kuusamo, Finland, and ended on 12 March 2016 in Canmore, Alberta, Canada. Therese Johaug set a new record for total points in one season, with 2681. Martin Johnsrud Sundby set a new men's record for total points in one season, with 2634. Sundby won 14 races during the season and surpassed Petter Northug's record of nine victories which he achieved in both 2009–10 and 2012–13. The 2014–15 FIS Cross-Country World Cup was the 34th official World Cup season in cross-country skiing for men and women. The season started on 29 November 2014 in Ruka, Finland and ended on 15 March 2015 in Oslo, Norway. The season's biggest event is FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2015. Changed results due to doping violation On 20 July 2016, Martin Johnsrud Sundby was banned from competing in ski competitions for two months by the FIS after having used an asthma medicine incorrectly during the 2014–15 season. He was also stripped of two results; a victory in 15 km C in Davos, 13 December 2014 and a third place in 25 km F Pursuit in Toblach, 8 January 2015. the latter also resulted in Sundby losing the Tour de Ski title.
