Shintaro Matsukura
Shintaro Matsukura is a Japanese kickboxer fighting out of Tokyo, Japan. He is the current WPMF World Super Middleweight champion. Career On March 2, 2008 Matsukura participated to the K-1 tryouts, he passed every steps and was selected by the officials including K-1 youth development director Kensaku Maeda. Matsukura turned professional on July 20, 2008 at the MAJKF BREAK THROUGH 5 event. He was defeated by unanimous decision against Kenichi Hashimoto. Matsukura returned to amateur competition when he participated to the 2009 K-1 Koshien -70kg tournament. Matsukura won the tournament, defeating three opponents in the same day. On March 27, 2010 Matsukura faced Yuuki at K-1 WORLD MAX 2010 ～-70kg Japan Tournament～. He won the fight by knockout in the second round after flooring his opponent three times. Extreme Fight Game RISE, known simply as RISE, is a Japanese kickboxing promotion company based in Tokyo, Japan. The name RISE is an abbreviation of "Real Impact Sports Entertainment". It produces events in Japan, which showcases ten male and three female weight classes. They also hold the KAMINARIMON events, which are exclusively open to amateur fighters. Champions History RISE held their inaugural event, "R.I.S.E. I" on February 23, 2003, at the Gold Jim South Tokyo Annex in Ōmori, Japan. Krush is a martial arts entertainment planning and promotion brand established in 2008, currently based in Japan. It is the sister brand of K-1, and has produced numerous future K-1 competitors, such as Takeru Segawa, Tatsuya Tsubakihara and Yuki Egawa. It features events across ten male and three female weight classes. Current Krush champions History Krush was launched in 2008, prior to the death of K-1 FEG, as a collaboration between K-1 and All Japan Kickboxing Federation.
