Shimen–Changsha Railway
The Shimen–Changsha railway or Shichang railway (), is a double-track, electrified railroad in Hunan Province of southern China between Shimen and Changsha. Railroad
Rail transport (also known as train transport) is a means of transport that transfers passengers and goods on wheeled vehicles running on rails, which are incorporated in tracks. Shimen County
Shimen County () is a northernmost county of Hunan Province, China, it is under administration of the prefecture-level city of Changde. Located on the northern margin of Hunan and the west of Changde, Shimen County is bordered to the south and southwest by Taoyuan, Zili and Sangzhi Counties, to the west by Hefeng County of Hubei, to the north by Wufeng County of Hubei, to the east by Songzi City of Hubei, Li and Linli Counties. Shimen is a mountainous county located on the Wuling Mountains, Mount Huping () which, at on the northwest of the county, is the highest point of Hunan. Shimen is also the home of the Tujia people, the descendant of Chinese ancient Ba People, the Tujia people shares 50.9％ of the population in the county. Changde
Changde ( ) is a prefecture-level city in the northwest of Hunan province, People's Republic of China. In addition to the urban districts, Changde also administers the county-level city of Jinshi City, Jinshi and six counties. Changde is adjacent to Dongting Lake to the east, the city of Yiyang to the south, Wuling Mountains, Wuling and Xuefeng Mountains to the west, and Hubei province to the north. The area has been inhabited by humans since around 8,000 years ago. In that time, the city has changed names several times, but it has been known as Changde since the 12th century. Changde–Yiyang–Changsha High-speed Railway
The Changde–Yiyang–Changsha high-speed railway or Changyichang high-speed railway (), also known as the Changde–Changsha section of Chongqing–Xiamen high-speed railway, is a high-speed railway in China.
