Sharp Italian Seniors Open
The Senior Italian Open is a men's professional golf tournament for players aged 50 and above which is part of the European Senior Tour schedule. It was played from 2004 to 2008 and then restarted in 2016. The tournament was originally played at GC Venezia, near Venice, but has since been played at GC Arzaga on Lake Garda and GC Udine, Fagagna. Italy's most successful 20th century male golfer, Costantino Rocca Costantino Rocca (born 4 December 1956) is an Italian golfer. Fasano (; Barese: ) is a town and ''comune'' in the Province of Brindisi, Apulia, southern Italy. 2021 European Senior Tour
The 2021 Legends Tour was the 30th season of the European Senior Tour, the professional golf tour for men aged 50 and above operated by the PGA European Tour. It was the first season since rebranding as the Legends Tour. Schedule The table below shows the 2021 season schedule. The early 2021 schedule, announced in December 2020, consisted of 13 events. Qualifying school There was no qualifying school for the 2021 season. The five players who qualified for the cancelled 2020 European Senior Tour season had their playing rights rolled over to the 2021 season. Order of Merit leaders A points-based system was used instead of one based on prize money. Tournaments had different points values with the three majors carrying 10,000 points and the remaining 16 events carrying between 2,500 and 4,500 points. Stephen Dodd
Stephen Christopher Dodd (born 15 July 1966) is a Welsh professional golfer who after a moderate career, unexpectedly won two events on the European Tour in the 2005 season at the age of 38 and won a third time in 2006. He also won the 2005 WGC-World Cup in partnership with Bradley Dredge. Since turning 50 he has won four times on the European Senior Tour, including the 2021 Senior Open Championship. Personal life Dodd was born in Cardiff. He resides in Barry, Wales with his wife Allison and their son Liam. Amateur career Dodd had a successful amateur career highlighted by victory in The Amateur Championship at Royal Birkdale in 1989, which qualified him to play in The Open Championship that year and the Masters Tournament the following year. Peter Fowler
Peter Randall Fowler (born 9 June 1959) is an Australian golfer who plays on the PGA Tour of Australasia and European Senior Tour. Career Fowler was born in Hornsby, New South Wales. He turned professional in 1977 and won the Australian Open in 1983. He has spent a large part of his career playing on the European Tour, where he made the top one hundred on the Order of Merit every year from 1983 to 1993, with a best ranking of 22nd in 1989. His only European Tour win came at the 1993 BMW International Open in Germany. Rafael Faustino Gómez (born 27 December 1967) is an Argentine professional golfer. Career Gómez was born in Buenos Aires. He turned professional in 1990. He played on the European Challenge Tour in 2003 and from 2005 to 2007 and the European Tour from 2005 to 2007. He played on the U.S.-based Nationwide Tour in 2004 and a few events on the PGA Tour. His best finish on the PGA Tour was 38th place in The International in 2002. His best finish on the European Tour was 22nd place in the KLM Open in 2006. Clark Sherwood Dennis (born February 14, 1966) is an American professional golfer. He played on the PGA Tour and Nationwide Tour from 1990 to 2000. He had one win on the Nationwide Tour and a best finish of tied for third place on the PGA Tour. He was tied for sixth in the 1994 U.S. Open. 2018 European Senior Tour
The 2018 Staysure Tour was the 27th season of the European Senior Tour, the professional golf tour for men aged 50 and above operated by the PGA European Tour. The season was officially called the Staysure Tour after UK-based insurance company Staysure became the Tour's first-ever title sponsor. Tournament results The 2018 schedule consisted of 19 events, including three new tournaments. In addition to new events in Denmark and Spain, the 2018 season ended in the Seychelles after the announcement of the inaugural MCB Tour Championship Indian Ocean Swing. Marc Farry
Marc-Antoine Farry (born 3 July 1959) is a French professional golfer. Farry was born in Paris, and started playing golf at the age of seven. He turned professional in 1979, and spent his early career as a teaching professional in Florida, United States. Farry was a full member of the European Tour from 1989 to 2004. He has won 16 tournaments on the French domestic tour, including the 1985 and 2000 French PGA Championships, but has only one win to his name on the European Tour, the 1996 BMW International Open, which was reduced to 36 holes because of rain. Barry Lane
Barry Douglas Lane (21 June 1960 – 31 December 2022) was an English professional golfer. He won five official European Tour events between 1988 and 2004. He played in the 1993 Ryder Cup and won the inaugural Andersen Consulting World Championship of Golf in late 1995. After reaching 50 he had considerable success on the European Senior Tour, winning eight times between 2010 and 2019. Early life Lane was born in Hayes, Middlesex but grew up in Bracknell. He only took up golf at the age of 14 but became an assistant professional at nearby Downshire Golf Club in 1976, at the age of 16. He was an assistant at Downshire for 8 years.
