2019 European Senior Tour
The 2019 Staysure Tour was the 28th season of the European Senior Tour, the professional golf tour for men aged 50 and above operated by the PGA European Tour. The season was officially called the Staysure Tour after UK-based insurance company Staysure. Schedule The 2019 schedule consisted of 19 events. The numbers in brackets after the winners' names show the number of career wins they had on the European Senior Tour up to and including that event. This is only shown for players who are members of the tour. There were two 36-hole "stage 1" events with the leading players in these events joining a number of exempt players in the 72-hole final stage. Phillip Price
John Phillip Price (born 21 October 1966) is a Welsh professional golfer who plays on the European Senior Tour. He won three European Tour events between 1994 and 2003 and played in the 2002 Ryder Cup. Early life Price was born in 1966 in Pontypridd. He currently resides in Newport. Professional golfer Price turned professional in 1989 and qualified for membership of the European Tour for the 1991 season via the 1990 Qualifying School. His best year on the tour came in 2000, when he finished eighth on the Order of Merit. His other top ten placing came in 2003, when he was tenth. He has three tournament wins on the European Tour. In 2005 he played on the U.S.-based PGA Tour, but he did not do well enough to retain his card. He has featured in the top 50 of the Official World Golf Ranking. Barry Lane
Barry Douglas Lane (21 June 1960 – 31 December 2022) was an English professional golfer. He won five official European Tour events between 1988 and 2004. He played in the 1993 Ryder Cup and won the inaugural Andersen Consulting World Championship of Golf in late 1995. After reaching 50 he had considerable success on the European Senior Tour, winning eight times between 2010 and 2019. Early life Lane was born in Hayes, Middlesex but grew up in Bracknell. He only took up golf at the age of 14 but became an assistant professional at nearby Downshire Golf Club in 1976, at the age of 16. He was an assistant at Downshire for 8 years. WINSTONgolf Senior Open
The WINSTONgolf Senior Open is a men's senior (over 50) professional golf tournament on the European Senior Tour. It has been held since 2012 at WINSTONgolf, Vorbeck in Northern Germany. From 2012 to 2015 it was played on the Open course while from 2016 to 2018 it was held on the Links course. The event returned to the Open course in 2019. José Manuel Carriles
José Manuel Carriles Corino (born 12 May 1963) is a Spanish professional golfer. Early life Carriles was born in Pedreña in northern Spain, the birthplace of the late Seve Ballesteros. Like Ballesteros, he learned the game on the beach, where he and some friends shared a half set of clubs. Golf was always in the blood, his father caddied at the local course and his mother also worked there. He was forbidden to play at the club except once a year in the caddies' competition, so as a youngster he used to climb the fence at the furthest point of the course for some secret practice. The European Tour Destinations Senior Classic was a men's senior (over 50) professional golf tournament on the European Senior Tour. It was held for the first time in June 2017 at Linna Golf near Hämeenlinna, Finland. It was the first European Senior Tour event held in Finland. Steven Charles Stricker (born February 23, 1967) is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour and the PGA Tour Champions. Jean-François Remésy (born 5 June 1964), also known as Jeff Remésy, is a French professional golfer. Career Remésy was born in Nîmes, Occitania. He won the French Amateur Championship in 1985 and turned professional in 1987. For much of his career he has struggled to establish himself as a tour golfer, and he has made over a dozen trips to the European Tour Qualifying School. His first professional win came in a small tournament in France in 1991 and he won on the Challenge Tour in 1994, but he didn't break into the top 100 on the European Tour Order of Merit until 1999.
