Seven Lives Many Faces
''Seven Lives Many Faces'' is the seventh studio album by the German musical project Enigma, released on 19 September 2008 by Virgin Records. Michael Cretu stated that the album would feature an omnicultural sound unlike anything on its previous releases. On 12 September, the album was released on Enigma's Myspace page for pre-listening. After enjoying a huge success on MySpace (with over 400,000 listens in two days), several international MTV and VH1 websites started streaming the album until 22 September. ''Seven Lives Many Faces'' was also released in DVD format with 5.1 surround sound, similar to their previous album ''A Posteriori''. Singles The first two singles from the album are "Seven Lives" and "La Puerta del Cielo". Enigma (German Band)
Enigma is a German musical project founded in 1990 by Romanian-German musician and producer Michael Cretu. Cretu had released several solo records, collaborated with various artists, and produced albums for his then-wife, German pop singer Sandra, before he conceived the idea of a new-age, worldbeat project. He recorded the first Enigma studio album, '' MCMXC a.D.'' (1990), with contributions from David Fairstein and Frank Peterson. The album remains Enigma's most successful, helped by the international hit single "Sadeness (Part I)", which sold twelve million units alone. According to Cretu, the inspiration for the creation of the project came from his desire to make a kind of music that did not obey "the old rules and habits" and presented a new form of artistic expression with mystic and experimental components. Top 100 México is a record chart which accounts for sixty percent of the albums sold in Mexico. The chart has the support of major record distributors in Mexico and is issued by the Mexican Association of Producers of Phonograms and Videograms, A.C.(Asociación Mexicana de Productores de Fonogramas y Videogramas) since 2005 on a weekly basis. , established in 1999, is the holding company at the head of a Japanese corporate group that supplies statistics and information on music and the music industry in Japan and Western music. It started as, which was founded by Sōkō Koike in November 1967 and became known for its music charts. Oricon Inc. was originally set up as a subsidiary of Original Confidence and took over the latter's Oricon record charts in April 2002. The charts are compiled from data drawn from some 39,700 retail outlets (as of April 2011) and provide sales rankings of music CDs, DVDs, electronic games, and other entertainment products based on weekly tabulations. The Oricon Albums Chart is the Japanese music industry standard albums popularity chart issued daily, weekly, monthly and yearly by Oricon. Oricon originally published LP, CT, Cartridge and CD charts prior to the establishment of the Oricon Albums Chart on October 5, 1987. The Oricon Albums Chart's rankings are based on physical albums' sales. Oricon did not include download sales until its establishment of the Digital Albums Chart on November 19, 2016. In November 2018, Oricon began to include streaming in its album rankings, introducing a combined album chart based on album-equivalent units. Charts are published every Tuesday in Oricon Style and on Oricon's official website. Every Monday, Oricon receives data from outlets, but data on merchandise sold through certain channels does not make it into the charts. Ruth-Ann Boyle
Ruth-Ann Boyle (born 26 April 1970, Sunderland, England) is an English pop singer. Together with producers Tim Kellett and Robin Taylor-Firth, she formed the British band Olive. The band's single " You're Not Alone" reached number 1 in the UK Singles Chart on its second release in 1997. Andru Donalds (born 16 November 1974) is a Jamaican musician and vocalist, who also worked in collaboration with the Enigma project. Donalds had a hit single in America in 1995 with " Mishale", which reached No. 38 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Biography Andru Donalds was born in Kingston, Jamaica. His musical style ranges from pop, rock and roll, to reggae and ballads. His influences include Bob Marley, Black Uhuru, The Beatles, Michael Jackson and Prince. A margarita is a cocktail consisting of Tequila, triple sec, and lime juice often served with salt on the rim of the glass. "La Puerta del Cielo / Seven Lives" is the first single from Enigma's seventh album ''Seven Lives Many Faces''. Overview The track "Seven Lives" had been featured on German TV as the signature theme to the public broadcaster EinsFestival's coverage of the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. The single was digitally released in Germany on 8 August and physically on 15 August. The single reached top 50 in Germany and remained in the top 100 for several weeks. "Seven Lives" was featured in the well-known Norwegian game Kahoot! as part of the soundtrack. Cretu was uncredited for it. The title of the song "La Puerta del Cielo" (The Gate of Heaven) is in Spanish but its lyrics are in Catalan: ''Allà dins es canal / En es peu da sa muntanya''.
