Ruth-Ann Boyle
Ruth-Ann Boyle (born 26 April 1970, Sunderland, England) is an English pop singer. Together with producers Tim Kellett and Robin Taylor-Firth, she formed the British band Olive. The band's single " You're Not Alone" reached number 1 in the UK Singles Chart on its second release in 1997. In 1999 she sang lead vocals on tracks " Gravity of Love" and "Silence Must Be Heard" on Enigma's album ''The Screen Behind the Mirror'', the former of which was also released as a single. She also performed guest-vocals for their 2003 album ''Voyageur''. Her first solo album ''What About Us?'', produced by Michael Cretu of Enigma, was only released as a digital download via iTunes in 2007, quoting a lack of necessary project support and co-ordination to produce physical copies of the album. Sunderland, Tyne And Wear
Sunderland () is a port city in Tyne and Wear, England. It is the City of Sunderland's administrative centre and in the historic county of Durham. The city is from Newcastle-upon-Tyne and is on the River Wear's mouth to the North Sea. The river also flows through Durham roughly south-west of Sunderland City Centre. It is the only other city in the county and the second largest settlement in the North East after Newcastle upon Tyne. Locals from the city are sometimes known as Mackems. The term originated as recently as the early 1980s; its use and acceptance by residents, particularly among the older generations, is not universal. ''Seven Lives Many Faces'' is the seventh studio album by the German musical project Enigma, released on 19 September 2008 by Virgin Records. Michael Cretu stated that the album would feature an omnicultural sound unlike anything on its previous releases. On 12 September, the album was released on Enigma's Myspace page for pre-listening. After enjoying a huge success on MySpace (with over 400,000 listens in two days), several international MTV and VH1 websites started streaming the album until 22 September. ''Seven Lives Many Faces'' was also released in DVD format with 5.1 surround sound, similar to their previous album ''A Posteriori''. Singles The first two singles from the album are "Seven Lives" and "La Puerta del Cielo". Andru Donalds (born 16 November 1974) is a Jamaican musician and vocalist, who also worked in collaboration with the Enigma project. Donalds had a hit single in America in 1995 with " Mishale", which reached No. 38 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Biography Andru Donalds was born in Kingston, Jamaica. His musical style ranges from pop, rock and roll, to reggae and ballads. His influences include Bob Marley, Black Uhuru, The Beatles, Michael Jackson and Prince. Solo career After leaving school, Donalds traveled to England, the Netherlands and New York City, to develop his musical abilities as singer and songwriter. He met the producer and songwriter Eric Foster White, who had hits with stars such as Frank Sinatra, Whitney Houston, Julio Iglesias, Backstreet Boys, and Boyzone. ''Trickle'' is the second and most recent album from English trip hop band Olive. History Following the band's debut album ''Extra Virgin'' and a subsequent promotional tour, keyboard programmer Robin Taylor-Firth left the band. Also during this time the UK arm of record label RCA lost interest in supporting the band; as a result, Olive was dropped from the RCA roster. By this time, the follow-up album had been completed, including a cover of the 1975 UK number-one single " I'm Not in Love" by 10cc (chosen partially as an attempt to obtain better favour with RCA). However, Olive then signed with Maverick Records, after reportedly being discovered by label founder Madonna when she attended one of their concerts in Germany; initially, the band were recruited for a contribution to the soundtrack to the Madonna film ''The Next Best Thing'', and a recording contract resulted from the contact. ''Extra Virgin'' is the debut album by British trip hop band Olive, originally released in 1996. The album includes the single " You're Not Alone", which originally reached number 42 in the UK Singles Chart in 1996 and when re-released in 1997 it reached number one. Two other singles were released from the album: "Outlaw" (UK No. 14) and "Miracle" (UK No. 41). The trip hop influence of Massive Attack and Portishead, while in small quantities, are evident, mixed in with synth-based electronic dance. The album was re-released in 1997 following the success of "You're Not Alone" and peaked at number 15 on the UK Albums Chart. Recording Synthesizers used on the album are a Roland Juno-60, an E-mu Systems Vintage Keys, and an Akai S3000XL sampler. Mixing was done on a Mackie mixing console. ''Voyageur'' is the fifth studio album by the German musical project Enigma, released on 8 September 2003 by Virgin Records. ''Voyageur'' was considered to be Enigma's most distinctive album to date, due to Enigma's drastic changes in sound as compared to the previous four albums. The project's signature ''shakuhachi'' flutes, Gregorian chants and tribal chants found on the earlier albums were all but gone on ''Voyageur''. Instead, most of the songs found on the album were more pop-oriented, such as "Voyageur", "Incognito", " Boum-Boum" and "Look of Today"; the latter of which interpolates the chorus of ABC's " The Look of Love". Michael Cretu described ''Voyageurs genre as "sophisticated pop". Ibiza
Ibiza (natively and officially in ca, Eivissa, ) is a Spanish island in the Mediterranean Sea off the eastern coast of the Iberian Peninsula. It is from the city of Valencia.
