''See the Light'' is the eighth studio album by American ska punk band Less Than Jake, released on November 12, 2013. as CD, LP and digital download. Writing and recording Regarding the album, guitarist and vocalist Chris DeMakes said: "''See the Light'' is pure Less Than Jake. 13 songs that were written, recorded and produced in our hometown of Gainesville, Florida. You never know what people are going to think when you release new music. All you can do is what comes from your heart and we feel like we have accomplished what we set out to do with these new songs. Hopefully our fans will feel the same passion for this album as we do." Less Than Jake is an American ska punk band from Gainesville, Florida, formed in 1992. The band consists of Chris DeMakes (guitars, vocals), Roger Lima (bass, vocals), Matt Yonker (drums), Buddy Schaub (trombone), and Peter "JR" Wasilewski (saxophone). The group released its debut album, ''Pezcore'', in 1995, following a series of independent seven-inch single releases. The band's subsequent two studio albums, '' Losing Streak'' (1996) and '' Hello Rockview'' (1998), were released on major label, Capitol Records, leading to increased exposure. Vinnie Fiorello
Vincent "Vinnie" Fiorello (born June 24, 1974) is an American rock musician and businessman. He co-founded the ska punk band Less Than Jake in 1992, and was the band's drummer and lyricist until 2018. He also founded the record labels Fueled by Ramen, Sleep It Off Records, and Paper + Plastick, in addition to several local businesses in Gainesville, Florida. Biography Fiorello was born on June 24, 1974 in Rahway, New Jersey. He grew up in New Jersey but moved to Gainesville, Florida at age 16. Vinnie Fiorello and Chris DeMakes founded the band Less Than Jake while attending the University of Florida in 1992.
