Sarajevo Tramway
Trams in Sarajevo are a part of the public transport system in Sarajevo, the capital city of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The system is run by KJKP GRAS Sarajevo, which also operates trolleybus and bus routes in the city. As of 2010, the Sarajevo tram system consists of seven lines, running along a single route with a -long branch to the city's main railway station ''(Željeznička Stanica)''. It primarily serves as an east-west link from the city centre (Baščaršija) to the western suburb of Ilidža. History Opened on New Year's Day in 1885, the Sarajevo tramway was the testing line for the tram in Vienna and the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and operated by horses. Skenderija
Skenderija is a cultural, sports and trade center located in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the area of 70,000 square meters there are multipurpose halls where various sports, cultural and trade events are organized throughout the year, as well as a modern shopping center "Privredni grad" with numerous shops, restaurants, coffee confectionery and similar. Skenderija consists of several venues which include: Dom Mladih, Ars Aevi and Mirza Delibašić Hall. It was established in 1888, having originally been conceived around 1850. In 1913, the museum building was expanded by the Czech architect Karel Pařík who designed a structure of four symmetric pavilions with a facade in the Italian Renaissance Revival style. The four pavilions contain the departments of archaeology, ethnology, natural history, and a library. Sarajevo–Ploče Railway
The Sarajevo–Ploče railway is a long railway in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia. The line connects Sarajevo with Konjic, Mostar and Ploče. The route operates through the regions of Sarajevo Canton, Herzegovina-Neretva Canton and Dubrovnik-Neretva County. The route largely follows the route of the Neretva river. Passenger services along the full length of line have been discontinued between 2013 and 2022, running only between Sarajevo and the town of Čapljina on the Bosnian-Croatian border. International train service between Sarajevo and Ploče resumes on July 1st, 2022, on weekends until September 1st, using Spanish-designed ''Talgo'' wagons. Otoka, Sarajevo
Otoka ( cyrl, Отока) is a part of Novi Grad, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, located within the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It shares borders with the following neighborhoods: Čengić vila (East side), Aneks (South-East side), Švrakino Selo (South side). Its residential core represents a chain of high-rise buildings (Streets: Žrtava Fašizma, Brčanska, Aleja Lipa). The apartment complex was built by the government in the early 1970s and for a long time stood as most prominent and cleanest part of Sarajevo suburbia. The design was advanced for the time with significant green parks areas, preschool, elementary school and shopping all available within the complex. Miljacka
The Miljacka (Serbian Cyrillic: Миљацка) is a river in Bosnia and Herzegovina that passes through Sarajevo. Numerous city bridges have been built to cross it. Characteristics The Miljacka river originates from the confluence of the Paljanska Miljacka and Mokranjska Miljacka rivers.
